Chip: I may just end up painting my OEM valance, and get an 05-05 lip to complete the look. Compared to my other vehicles, I don't think the stock fog lights provide enough light output (even with HID's) to make any difference. I'd like a valance that provided a fog light with better output.

I think painting the stock valance is a great idea! It's subtle, cheap, easy, and completely effective! I think it looks great! As for the fog light issue. You could use the stock housings and retro-fit some projectors in there. That would give you a powerful, noticeable beam.

I have considered a Denali front end, but I feel like its a cop-out. I don't have a denali, and if I'm going to change the look of my front end, I'd rather not replicate a look that can be found on another stock truck.

Fair Enough!

My truck is black. my intent is to paint my stock bumpers completely black. I wanted an aftermarket valance to add a little more styling to my front end. I will be painting my grill shell black, and will be adding a billet grill in the center.

Then wyh not get the one TahoeWhat posted?

I painted my stock valence black. Matches my black bumpers much better and looks different. Of course mine is a tahoe, but same concept. Like chip said, just retro some other fogs in it that output more light. But they are just fogs, not headlights, so i cant see headlight output of light w/ them. If so you might be blinding others w/ them.

For that tahoe bumper, still very intersting. i didnt even notice the valance on it, just the lights in the bumper. lol

^^ I did some searching for a used Stillen Yukon GTS, and found that there are very few available (probably because of the price tag...)

There was one on craigslist a few years ago that was hit in the front and the owner was asking $25,000...

I think you guys have convinced me to stay with the stock valance and just paint it. Its time I get moving there are just too many parts sitting in my garage for this truck!
