Said they used GM seals. Not sure about the scoring as I was not in the shop when it was done. I'm thinking there has to be something wrong with the install or seal not seated correctly
Heres situation. Left front axle seal replaced twice. Second with OEM part. Still leaking now and they (shop ) is telling me because of the negative camber of front axle and vehicle being lowered that it is causing seal to go bad. Not sure of what to do know. They did show me where front axle...
If you had front diff replaced I'm sure it was a remanufactured one that came with a warranty that probably only lasted 3, 6, or 12 months. Could be one of the bearings or seals in the front diff or the axle seal. Either way they may have to remove the diff and open it up to determine the exact...
Not sure if he used a speedy sleeve. There was some metal filings on the drain plug but I figured it was normal? Yeah 191K on orig diff and trans. Im gambling right now I know but gotta hold out till 2015s come in. Even still don't want to buy brand new
Thought I had a drivers side front axle seal leak...well that was changed twice...second time with a GM part and still a leak...albeit less then before but nonetheless a leak. Shop tells me that leak is probably coming from diff and that a bearing could be bad inside the diff. It does make a...
Just changed mine with felpro perma dry. Did the knock sensors and reused gaskets as they looked good. Word of caution is plastic wire harness can break when removing from sensor...ask me how I know. Luckily didn't damage the connector
Sounds like a lean condition...may want to check intake manifold gasket. Similar codes were thrown on mine but only when it was very cold outside. Changed the gasket and all is well now.
Sounds like the problem is the heating elements. They are both separate parts. You should be able to remove them yourself and order some from rock auto or somewhere to replace.
My personal preference is replace under center console with JL audio stealth box. Sounds great and is out of sight. Ifg paired with a good amp you can hear throughout truck
Does anyone know if all of these interior lights should come on...?
The dimmer switch and fog light button do not illuminate when interior lights come on. Thanks.
I was thinking that so I checked those. They were fine...a little rusty so I sanded off the rust on two of the grounds. Didn't help. Forgot to do the chasis ground though so I will see if that does it.
Hello all,
Weird problem here. Switching back to regular tail lamps from LED. LEDs had resistors built in. So I change everything back including harness and new bulbs. Cleaned up connectors and...left side flashes fast sometimes and also my double din factory NAV screen flashes in and out. I...
I've noticed that when I have a 1/4 tank of gas or so left in tank and my truck sits for several hours or overnight on a semi level surface, it will not start and I have to add gas to start it. Any ideas? I just keep tank above 1/4 to fix problem but curious as to what issue may be. Thanks for...
Curry's Automotive in Gaithersburg...just put Billstein shocks on all fours. Very professional. They previously put a McGaughey lowering kit on my yukon as well along with other minor repairs
