    Yea that combo may net you 400ish to the wheels, with a 5000+ vehicle mid 13's would be my thought. its slightly heavier than a tbss so you could prolly compare it to them somewhat.

    2000 Tahoe bad mileage

    Mine is shitty also, of course I hae a pretty mean exhaust manifold leak. I also have a weak upstream o2. So if you have any of those 2 that will hinder mpg.

    30-35 psi is excellent tire pressure on heavy vehicles like ours, as long as you dont mind buying tires alot. It will destroy inside and out side of tires. I dont care what the door says you run less than 40 PSI and it will wear the tires unevenly.

    Is it factory wheels? Are thy putting hammer on weights on both inside AND outside lip? Balancing requires someone that gives a shit, sticky weights do well as long as there is a tech willing to give a shit. If your Positive it isnt a tire/wheel issue then check the u joints.

    Ive dove several 5.3's and none stack up to that 97. LOL maby its a freak. ive been around drag racing for a long time and id venture to say the 97 would run mid 10's in the 8th.

    I mean ive drove a 97 yukon off and on for the last 10 years, towing, camping or just me and my buds going out of town. The 97 has tons more power than my newly aquired 01 tahoe. Its pitifull, I think mopeds could perform better. Why did they drcrease the power so much in a newer version?
