    yeah take the belts off start it up... I fought a sqeak for a while, turned out that it was a POS Dayco belt... I will never buy dayco again.

    could be an accessory like power steering pump or something. You really need to pin point it with a scope(you can use a long oil funnel also to get general area). I actually like the funnel trick better to get the starting point.

    I will i seriously think this is exhaust. I think if it was a rod knock it would make the noise in park. I am kind of thinking motor mounts... I will do the step on the gas with the brakes on to check my motor mounts I know the passenger side has been replaced.

    i have a similar issue, its a 2007 6.2.. it makes kind of an exhaust tick under acceleration. The stupid dealer was like F off, we dont want to deal with it and told me "to find out we have to tear the engine down"... lol And they wanted 1100$ to change my alternator :)
