Fuel pressure regulator - spring tool?

So I'm going to replace my fuel pressure regulator, having a hard start and it dies once after I get it going. Runs fine after it is started. Read these fuel pressure regulators are notorious for going out in the 95' tahoes. Question is do you need a tool to compress that spring that is...

A/C blows, no air out vents

So when my issues starts, I can change vent to defrost and I can hear the airflow in the dash getting rerouted, or the intensity of the blowing sound lessens to about 30%, same as normal when the actuator kicks in to direct flow to defrost. But I still don't get airflow from the vents on top of...

    Plug wires: 8.8mm vs 7mm

So went AC Delco everything this time, standard stuff, 7mm wires and dist cap that has the aluminum or what ever looking leads. Did go with the platinum tipped Delco plugs. I can't tell a difference in performance from when I use all MSD high performance stuff, 8.5mm wires, copper leads on the...

Door opens from outside, not inside

So check this out. Inside handle will engage the door latch still, pull rod is still attacked an the linkage is not broken. But it is not moving the latch far enough to actual "open" the latch.... If I stick my hand up in the door and feel the latch moving, the outside handle will pull down...

    Plug wires: 8.8mm vs 7mm

So use AC Delco, Borg Warner,MSD, or ACCEL wire cap and rotor? Accel had copper leads on the rotor cap Borg W had brass And AC Delco uses aluminum or something? Does that matter? Read bad reviews on ACCEL and MSD.... As in they crapped out after 6months, idled rough, etc. Guess there is a...

Q: what could I get for my truck?

95 Tahoe 4 door, 251k same engine, new tranny say 100k ago. Black with tan leather (redone) interior. 4x4 Ranch hand replacement bumpers front and back 4" lift + Add a lead in back Runs great, but minor things keep popping up. Changed oil religiously so not worried about motor. Rattles a...

    Plug wires: 8.8mm vs 7mm

What do you guys think - do larger plug wires make a difference in performance? I put 8.8mm wires on my 95 Tahoe a few years back (for 2x the cost of normal wires) and I swear it made a difference. Although I am prepared to accept that it was a complete placebo effect. I think normal wires...

A/C blows, no air out vents

Was looking at YouTube videos, looks easy enough. But I don't see how the blower motor by itself could be responsible for my issue, the motor blows fine, the air out of the vent slowly goes from full blast to almost nothing. Looks like with the above mentioned the motor either blows or it...

A/C blows, no air out vents

Great thanks. You get your new blower motor at Oreillys or anything - or much cheaper to find a used one? Wonder if used ones from a yard are reliable or just better to get new somewhere. Thanks again. Love this forum.

A/C blows, no air out vents

Okay, thanks for the tip. That almost sounds like what I've got going on, seem to recall popping the dash once really hard an I heard the clunk and got it work. How big of a job is that to replace? Guess I should google a schematic. Never replaced one

Door opens from outside, not inside

Thanks for the feed back. I should also add that when I open the door (from the outside) and then go through the motion of opening the inside handle as I would to open the door, the action is the same as in there is resistance, handle doesn't move freely, but I hear something at the latch...

Can't open my driver door from inside...

So I'm having this issue as well. What is throwing me though is that the inside handle acts an feels just like it always does, there is resistance, and I can hear something moving in the interior door panel near the latch, it just doesn't open. Could it be the linkage next to the latch...

A/C blows, no air out vents

The clunk noise is in the dash, must be a door or actuator. When I hear it, it is after I turn AC on, motor is going full blast, not getting anything g through the vents, hear the clunk, and then I get air flow though the vents. Almost like a stuck door gives way.

A/C blows, no air out vents

Thanks for moving. I've checked all the other vent and nothing. Same deal, cold air just dribbling out, barely any air, although more air out of main vent, just not much. Sometimes after I turn off AC, 5 seconds later I hear a loud "clunk" as if a stuck door or something falls back into...

A/C blows, no air out vents

Okay, having this issue sporadically, only happens after I've been on the road for a while and of course happens in the summer and not the winter.... 95 Tahoe - A/C blows cold and blows well. Then after about 30 to 45 minutes the airflow out of the vents starts to wane, to a point where the...
