What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

LOL, did new parking brake shoes and new rotors and pads this weekend, buttoned everything up, put the truck in gear, and WTF??? it barely moved. THEN I remembered the front wheels were still chocked. The old shoes were going barefoot, they were so bad.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

@Tozan I would like to see your parts list and a few pics of your battery setup. I didn't even know about 270 degree awnings. They look like a good car camping solution. If you don't want memory I see no reason why you couldn't retrofit power pedals fairly easily. And I'm not seeing any threads...

I'm guessing that must be OEM not Gruven prices. Their shop rate is $155/hr according to the recall sheet.

One of the two heater hose connections broke in Kansas City last summer. It was cut and clamped instead of waiting for a new connector.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Got it back from the dealer with a new passenger airbag inflator. Got an estimate for items I asked for and a few I didn't. Just because I own a Denali doesn't mean I won the lottery, Beaman Buick-GMC Nashville: Pads and rotors front: $520 Rear : $520 New parking brakes...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Yeah, I was using a Bluetooth dongle for music but the 2012 Denali Bose has a hard drive I finally loaded most of my music into.

If your truck is already 7-pin trailer wired and have a "phantom" red power wire coming from the battery box you shouldn't have any problems whatsoever (he says ignoring Murphy's Law).

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Thanks. Great info. Being this is my first GM vehicle since I inherited my former father in law's '66 Bonneville hardtop 30 years ago there's still a lot of learning happening.

If they did I couldn't hear them through their Mahomes haircuts.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I didn't want to bury my above question with the forthcoming wall of text. Last summer, towing the camper from Nashville to Denver, we spent the first night in Columbia, MO and as we were approaching downtown Kansas City steam came out of the vents and the dash went Christmas tree. Fortunately...

    Dealership “error”

If you financed through the dealer (which I think you did to receive all of those incentives) it seems they have 10 days to "finalize" the contract and can legally rescind it within that time frame...

Yeah I used that one a lot when I was truck hunting last January. Although it was proven somewhere in this thread that the data isn't perfect.

My guy seemed to be very good about making sure the fluid flow was OK. Plus three years parts and labor warranty will focus the mind and near exclusive towing should grenade the tranny in less than that amount of time if fluid flow is substandard. It does have the tow package, after all...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Thanks George. The shop said to bring it in for inspection in a couple of weeks, so I'll be driving the Denali instead of my Ford Focus ST until then. After that I'll load the tranny file. I figure the over/under of me hitting the brake instead of the Ford's clutch to be 7 in the next two weeks.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I haven't told my tale of woe, so here goes: I use my 2012 Denali almost exclusively to tow my 25 ft Coleman travel trailer. Over 9k miles towing last year, odometer reading about 135k miles at EOY. Arriving home in Nashville from a week Gulf Shores, AL in December, I was backing the trailer up...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Today I replaced the spur gear and motor for the driver's side folding mirror. Being cheap I opted not to just buy the housing already rebuilt so there's a bit of fiddling to crack open the housing and install the motor and gear, but it was well worth the $160 savings. The old plastic gear had a...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Yesterday I pulled the driver's armrest switchgear because the front passenger window "up" switch was intermittent then inoperative. I didn't use tootpaste because every one of my contacts looked a lot better than the ones in the video. I just swabbed them down with alcohol and all is good.

    2013 Yukon XL - 131k miles for $25k - buy?

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you on your question. I took three days to tow the camper to Denver and was catching up on my other Internet stuff when we landed here. Mine has several dashboard cracks which I will eventaully address by reinforcing the cracks from the back side. Right now I have...

    2013 Yukon XL - 131k miles for $25k - buy?

Buy it and make sure they include two sets of keys and fobs. You can buy a sticker set on Amazon for the climate control buttons. Works great. I paid $17,000 for my 2012 with 128k miles in February. Similar models are now listed at $20k. I have spent about $2000 getting the coolant and all of...

First big road trip (towing and camping), things to know?

I'm in the same boat as OP. I have done three trips so far with the new camper, two short and one long, so I appreciate all of the info. Got the radiator flushed and filled and will get the driveline fluids changed next week before our trip from Nashville to Denver. A few other items: I packed...

Looking for a 2000-2014/New member looking for a Tahoe/Yukon and some good advice for towing!

Having bought my tow vehicle in February, one tip I have is to use this VIN decoder. It will tell you instantly what the tow capacity is: https://chevroletforum.com/forum/vindecoder.php? I bought a 2012 Yukon Denali and tow a 20 ft Coleman that is 4400 lbs dry. It's just the two of us (and one...

Update 5/2/21 - Bounce and Porpoising - Especially Towing

My WDH says you measure the height of the rear bumper unhitched but the truck loaded and then hitch up and measure the height again. Adjust the chains on the WDH bars until the bumper height is back to the previous measurement. But it sounds like you've done similar and are still getting the...
