oh, and now, as i just drove it forward and reverse to test it out. The red exclamation point for the brake came on (and no the emergency brake isn't engaged). But maybe it has something to do with the emergency brake kit I need to order. But I don't want to waste money if it is sonething else
A little while back (I may have piated about it) I had a scraping noise when I would brake and it would grind a little also. I replaced the pads (the rotors were fine).
My neighbor told me it was actually coming from the rear and it was the emergency brake "thing" (a spring or whatever, I...
No fans running AT ALL.
I havent checked the rear AC. (What does it mean if it is and/or isn't?)
And I havrnt checked the fuses (you dont by any chance know which one(s) it might be? I'm at work (and was on break at the time sweating my @ss off)
I am ridiculously frustrated right now. I have enough going in with this truck and my fn life. I'm about to lose it.
Among my many other 2007 denali issues...... NOW, no air is blowing out (no AC, NO HEAT.....nothing at all).
Does anyone know what the issue might be. How hard is it to fix, etc...
Would Safelite be able to do it ?? Or do you recommend a local shop? (Pricewise etc)
And I'm guessing with a $500 deductible, it is better to pay for it out of pocket??? I live in florida but I believe they only cover a windshield crack per year (I'm not sure about THIS damage).
I recently had a bad grinding noise whenever I had to brake. Thinking it was the brakes (I replaced them - I never noticed the scraping sounds WHILE I was driving ). So, obviously, I was wrong and the noise continued and my neighbor told me it was the emergency/parking brake.
What exactly is it...
Someone a-hole decided to throw sonething through my long rear window on my driver's side (haven't figured out what yet). What are my options to replace this and about how much is this going to cost (gulp) It's tinted as well, but I guess I will worry about that later. :(
Please help. Thank you
My 2007 Yukon XL has been having a bad power steering leak. I think we narrowed it down to this small hose. Does anyone know a part number/name etc and where I can order it? And how to replace it? Lol. It seems to be the one with the metal attachment going to it (from near the engine). Sorry, my...
I will take some pics when I get home today. I am guessing I should see the tubes in a "C" shape instead of going straight back to near the dash.
I'm guessing all I would need is to replace both the inlet and the outlet hose and the heater core as well?
Is it possible to just replace the 2...
Jesus. Is there anything I should look for/at etc (as a beginner to working on cars - I learn as things happen) to check for any differences compared to the "new jerry rigged set up). ??
Any other advice or tips would be greatly appreciated
Tell me about it. I am just repeating what he told his mother.
One thing I accidentally forgot to mention (which may help figure out what he did). ..... Whatever he did, the car has no heat now. And he didn't REPLACE any hose. He switched them. Or Im guessing it had something to do with the...
My gf had let her kid drive her 2007 Denali. He said it was overheating so he did something (switched hoses or something ) to make it not overheat.
#1- WHAT in the world could he have done (and what do I need to undo it)
#2- Im guessing once I undo it, we will have the same supposed...
SOOOO......what you're telling me.....is that Im pretty much screwed?
I may just try taking it out and using the old one first.
And if that doesn't work..... I guess I'm screwed and have to pay the $400 that we dont have??? :(
I have never run a tap on anything so after seeing some people...
Okay thanks a lot! It seemed like an excessive "fix" to me as well.
I will look into helicoils.
Without sounding TOO stupid (probably too late) how would I go about tapping it?
I might just give the old plug a try as well.
Well, I'm apparently an idiot. She's been having nothing but trouble with this truck since she got it and I was giving it an oil change. All was seemingly fine until 3 to 4 weeks later when the "low oil" light came on.
I don't know if it was me or the drain plug I ordered off amazon that "fits...
