    I can probably get the factory radio for nothing. I was just trying to prevent having to buy all the modules to make the steering controls and everything work. I wonder if you can still us the factory mic with an aftermarket radio.....

    I did put on a new pan gasket. You're right, it should go without saying. The old, factory gasket is riveted in, so you will have to remove the old rivets. They just tap out with a hammer and a punch. Be careful not to break the pan though!

    A lot of those DVD head units have a video output on the back of the unit. You can run the RCA cable to the DVD player in the back and you should get the same picture on both screens at the same time.

    Absolutely. The only other thing that I did at the same time was change the oil and oil filter. The old o-ring was kind of flat, so I am positive that was the issue. Previously I had changed the oil pressure sensor, which did nothing.

    If that does not work, they sell a coil cleaner (at Lowes) that is for ac coils. You spray it on and it bubbles. When it bubbles, it loosens dirt and pushes it out. Once done, rinse with garden hose.

    So, I have tried to skim through and find a write up and replacing the o-ring. I know that it is not a very difficult job, but I like to know specifics. Torque specs of all nuts/bolts? Proper alignment of pan? (I saw something about aligning with transmission?) Use loctite on anything...

    Well, it was not the sensor. I put it in and fired it up. Oil pressure still dropped. Hooked a computer to it to monitor the pressure, and it is exactly what the gauge is reading. At least now I know the gauge is not correct. I will be replacing the o-ring in the near future...

    I ordered a "Chinese" front end rebuild kit from eBay a few years back for my dodge ram. I never had any issues with fitment and abnormal wear. All pieces went together just fine and I had the truck for about a year and a half after that, and never had any issues either.

    This is basically what I am going to be doing. I am putting a new sensor in today on my lunch break. If that does not work, I will be changing oil and o-ring. If that does not fix it, I probably just won't get the truck. Maybe. Who knows. Depends if I am feeling froggy or not.

    I picked up a sensor last night. I will be installing today. If that does not work, I intend on replacing the o-ring next.
