Also, does anyone know the specific torque specs for the oil pan bolts, pick up tube bolts and the flange bolt on the pick up tube?

Going to grab a new pan gasket and the new o ring. I will be installing after I get off work today. Do I need to use loctite on any bolts?

No loctite but you will need some RTV for the corners of the pan.

Oil pan bolts

To engine and front cover 18 ft-lbs

To rear cover 106 in-lbs

To bellhousing, converter cover and transmission 37 ft-lbs

Transmission to oil pan bolts 37 ft-lbs

Not 100% sure on pickup tube torque specs as its not listed in my book.

Maybe @swathdiver Will chime in.

I need RTV in addition to the pan gasket? Should I just put a bead all the way around, or just in the corners?

You only need a bead about an inch long where the timing cover and engine block meet the oil pan up front and the same in the rear where the rear main seal housing cover and block meet the oil pan.

That makes sense. I will pick up a small tube today as well

Does the RTV just go on the oil pan on top of the new gasket where the front cover and rear cover meet the block?

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it but there are 2 different O ring sizes, make sure you use the correct one.

The pickup tube for the transmission is press fit, no nut/bolt. The bracket on the tube that secures it via a bell housing bolt is 37 ft lbs like the others.
