What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I guess I could put them under the wire wheel on my bench grinder. They look like hell. The original owner towed his mid sized sailboat that saw saltwater boat lunches yearly, so my undercarriage is UGLY. :(

03 Yukon. No Start, just Click

Starter was the culprit. The Carquest reman turns over much faster than old one. Battery from 2012 still has over 12v but i may replace next month or so. Some tips: -remove the inner fender liner and wheel. -remove Autoride Yaw sensor if you have it. -remove 2 starter bolts then move it to...

03 Yukon. No Start, just Click

I got the truck home via flatbed. I doubt its locked up, runs amazing, no strange noises or idle issues. Like I said, it did this to me yesterday and eventually started. I appreciate the replies, i may just check pulleys since you have me paranoid now. I will check the battery Voltage incase...

03 Yukon. No Start, just Click

Happened at work today. Now getting towed home. Tried jumper cables, jumper pack, cleaning and tightening battery terminals, hitting starter and solenoid while some else turns key. Turn of key just gives ONE loud CLICK of the starter solenoid. So it must be the starter. It's original at...

2500 Front control arms on a 1500 Yukon?

Anyone ever done this? Is it possible? I notice front control arms of the 2500 ans 3500 GMT-800 have different geometry, allowing for a taller suspension and sturdier design? Would these fit if one wanted to lift the front a little bit, maybe with keys. Would this keep the ball joints and a...

I love the "autoride" (check out my signature). My Dorman air pump on Amazon was cheap and plug and play, runs great! Rides super smooth!

    PCM problems or reflash?

Im back and have some questions about my trans. FYI, I it replaced with a reman unit from RockAuto. Been great so far. I do notice some things that don't seem right. It was slipping bad from 2-3, thats why i replaced it and it was original at 217,000 miles. The PCM adapted after about 20...

    DRL bulbs that last?

Thanks. Not many have long term reviews on these LEDs. I ended up getting the 5702KA (amber) incandescent bulbs which seem to last for years. Regular 3157 do not last long at all and left my sockets melted even worse. I will update when i return back from vacation.

    DRL bulbs that last?

Any recommendations for LED DRL blulbs? I got some JDM Astar 3157 amber, brightest one they make with the lens in front. Looked great, only lasted 6 months though. I need bulbs that last longer than that. I even replaced the sockets since i thought that was the proble.m. The sockets were...

    Stock fog lights

I also see they have a built in fan. I would worry about the fan getting wet, or ice up in the winter especially due to their location low and open to the elements.

    Stock fog lights

Holy crap. Thats amazing. Thank you! I would prefer 3500k if they made that.

    Stock fog lights

Send it back? These stock fogs are useless IMO. Even with new ones I don't even see any difference. Time for an upgrade.

Rear Hatch Glass Hinge came off

The right rear glass hinge came off the first time ever opening it. Is there a special glue or adhesive to attach it back on the glass?

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

While opening the rear glass hatch for the first time, the passenger side hinge came off the glass. I cant be the only one for this to happen... It must be glued i assume. What type of adhesive does everyone use for this repair? Also both left and right front axle seals are leaking (223k...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Snapped bolt while changing out AC belt tensioner. Bolt is located in AC compressor bracket. Ordered used (looked new) compressor bracket from ebay. I had to remove the compressor in order to remove the bracket. All went well, shockingly. Even installed new seals to Hi/Lo lines to...
