If you are 4wd all longtubes will need modification. None for 2wd.
If you keep cats the y pipe will need to have the cats welded in. unless you find a kit with them already.
The 2500 will have a better transmission in the long run. You will want to get a bigger trans cooler with either one you choose.
my stock 5.3 put 230 to the wheels the 8.1 will probably have 50hp more give or take. But it will have a nicer torque curve (which is what you want when towing)
Get some longtubes (I have speed engineering) get a catted y pipe if you need to pass emissions.
If you are not going to use cats you will need Justin to tune out your 2 rear O2 sensors.
You will love the rear bars. You should get the adjustable panhard bar and DJM sway bars too lol.
I have the 3/5-6 kit waiting to go on my burb. Just put on the bars first.
Going to start collecting parts for my 4L80 swap/build. At the track last Friday 1st gear started to slip when I would launch. Oh well 105000 miles on a stock 4L60 isn't bad when the last 40K has been a hard 40K with my cam and stall.
