    2wd vs 4wd brakes.. different?

I found that they list different pads for 2wd vs 4wd. 2wd take a part number 974 variant, pic below and the 4wd take a 975 variant, pic below rotors are the same for both. Hope this helps.

what part number of the pads did you get?

    2wd vs 4wd brakes.. different?

Will they not slide into the bracket? Maybe it was a machining mistake and you just need to try a different set or a new brand?

    2wd vs 4wd brakes.. different?

I've heard of single piston vs dual piston on the rear, but never 2wd vs 4wd. I'm not following what you mean by sliders? The ears on the pads themselves that slide into the caliper bracket?

Brake Are Almost None Existent : Can't Stop Won't Stop

I vote air in lines or master cylinder is shot. I'd probably start with a flush using the motive bleeder mentioned above by @Chip18 because black fluid is bad lol. Is it hydro-boost or vacuum?

    AC problems

Disregard my comment about both sides blowing the same temp, I was thinking of the newer style. I believe there would still be a door that is either electronic or cable operated depending on year to switch it from hot to cold. If you switch to hot does it blow hotter and then back to cold it...

    4x4 going into neutral

Transfer case fluid is separate from transmission fluid. It has drain and fill plugs on the rear. The fluid is blue. It has an electric shift motor as well that it could be.

    AC problems

In my opinion the only way to properly charge is with manifold gauges. That way you know what the high side is doing too. 50 can be too high for the low side depending on outside air temp. Driver and passenger side is the same temp? That kind of rules out blend door actuators...

    4x4 going into neutral

Start with fluid change and go from there. Unless you know its been done recently with the auto-trac II. I know old fluid or the wrong fluid can cause issues with these.

    Wagner premium rotors & pads

To be honest I usually got away with turning my oem rotors and just doing new wagner pads/hardware/boots when I worked somewhere that had a brake lathe. My first experience with the rotors was the gfs fusion and that was like 3 months ago, but so far so good. No warpage and the coating is still...

How to remove the plastic tube for the spare tire hoist?

Carefully pop tabs up on white collar with screwdriver. Old/brittle ones may break. Then white collar slides off when you take apart the plastic two-piece tube from the rear bumper. For anyone wondering who finds this post.

    Wagner premium rotors & pads

I've used them on multiple types of vehicles. I like how the rotors have the black coating on the hat and the edges so that it doesn't rust, and the pads are quiet, grabby, and clean.

05 YD AWD front differencial help need

Bad bearings can cause the gears to wear, over time. Were the seals leaking? A lot of times when a bearing goes out, it'll cause the seal to leak long before gears start to get bad enough to whine. I agree with your thinking that he should have done a better inspection of the gears while he had...

Need anything for New LED Tails?

Looks right to me, top is two wire for turn and ground, bottom is 3 wire for ground, brake, and tail. Assuming it uses fancy wiring inside to alternate brake and turn properly, you should be good. Kind of like a converter for trailer brake lights.

    rear brakes

What makes you say no rear brakes? Are the pads not wearing on the rotors? Is it nosediving? If you have new pads, slide pins moved freely and were greased, and the calipers weren't trying to lock up when you compressed them, they should be good to go. E-brake on mine goes to floor before it...

    Weird whooshing sound

Does it change any after it warms up? When I installed my new fan clutch, it would sound like a semi taking off from a dead stop, it really pulled some air, until the engine was warmed up and it quieted down. Seems opposite of what it was supposed to do but it works. The fan clutch itself it...
