    New Tahoe. New problems

Jesus christ dude...isolating the circuit so that it doesnt short out, regardless of positive or negative, is just good practice. What if it didn't ground? Not everyone is as smart as you must be. Get off my ass and your high horse. I was just trying to help the op.

Did I get ripped off or overcharged?

It's too bad he didn't give you the option of the new vs rebuilt, for $10 difference. The brand we carried it really didnt seem to matter though as far as how long they lasted. Some of the rebuilt ones lasted longer than new ones. I can't remember the difference exactly. They were the same...

Did I get ripped off or overcharged?

Sounds about right, with my account at oreilly a reman starter is 160.31, buyer gets a LIFETIME warranty, and a new starter is 169.91 with a LIFETIME warranty. So unless another store is that much cheaper i'd say he charged you 2 hrs @ 65 an hour? Seems fair. Most shops will only give you a 1...

    New Tahoe. New problems

@rockola1971 what you just described is the same as what i said lol. I wasnt sure if open circuit made the control unit happy or closed circuit.

    New Tahoe. New problems

Its on the drier, unplug it and check for continuity on the switch terminals. I believe it closes the circuit when the pressure is high enough and not the other way around, but you can check first. Anyway, if its normally open and closes with pressure, just jumper wire/paper clip the two...

Extreme inner pad wear, caliper seems fine

I would probably pull the caliper off again and pull the slide pins out and lube them again anyway, checking for anything like a torn slide pin boot or a bad seal/oring ^^^.

Slide pins move freely and lubed? Thats the only thing it could be.

New TPMS Sensor Reset Help Needed

Safest max is pressure listed on sidewall of tire.

6-disk CD Changer resets on its own.

My clock resets randomly on mine. My uncle who is an electrical engineer for gm told me it had to do with voltage drop/bad grounding issues. He told me to check engine to body/chassis grounds and body to chassis grounds. Other than that he didn't know what it was. Since then I did the "big 3"...

    Daytime Running light upgrades?

I put these in for drls and turn signals. They are a blueish color when not on and then illuminate a nice bright amber color. Can't seem to find them anywhere now though.

Arnott AS-2700, what is this pin?

Maybe someone else who has bought these will chime in.

Arnott AS-2700, what is this pin?

Looks to me like they are supposed to slide into the groove just below the upper mounting eye and hold them for shipping purposes. Id say pull em once you get them installed lol. I bet if you compress it and slide the pin back in it will lock fully compressed and go back in the box.

New TPMS Sensor Reset Help Needed

I may be wrong, but normally the threshold is set by the truck computer, not the tpms sensors in each wheel. Im curious to see if the manual relearn fixes it. For what its worth, on my 04 (i know, older) the light seemed to pop on whenever i was at or below the listed pressure on the drivers...

    Coolant leak at the transmission

Maybe it was running down from your heater hose connections at the firewall?

what is this liquid? pics inside

Its dexcool coolant. If its on the front of the engine it could be water pump leaking. Thats near the power steering pump as well.

    Prevent Lock Freeze

Lock deicer works, or you could get creative with a flat rubber cap and a small pin of some kind attached to it. Something you could stick in the lock and slide it in until the lock is covered by the flat rubber cap...

    Need help fast..

IF you truck has two tanks, it would have a switch on the dash to manually switch from tank 1 to tank 2, and the gauge would also switch which tank it is reading when the switch is switched. It would also have two filler necks. I am not doubting you, but I dont think it was an option that year...

    Optima Battery

Your truck takes a 48 series or 94R series, you'd have to verify. Optima doesn't make one that size specifically. It would depend on how/where it is mounted as to whether you could use a 34 or not. Thats gonna be the closest in size, its a hair taller and not as wide. Also the posts aren't...

    Factory air box loose

They are like part of the metal tray I think. There are two rubber bushings/grommets that pop straight in and a third bushing that slides into place. I don't see them separately online. And I honestly don't know if they come with the box or the tray.

    Factory air box loose

You could replace those bushings, there are 3. May take some of the movement out of it but mine did the same thing before I switched to a CAI.

2004 Tahoe takes off when I release the brake pedal

I'd say do an idle relearn as well. Id bet it has a leaking throttle body or intake manifold gaskets.

Climate control knobs are messed up!!

Mine does the same thing, I deal with it lol.

    Changed rear diff fluid

All the oreillys near me carry masterpro syn (house brand), lucas syn, castrol syn, and royal purple syn in stock in 75-90. There is no such thing as 80-90 syn that I've found. You can use 75-90 no issue. They can also order valvoline syn and mobil syn.

Fuel filter change 5.3 2004 Flex fuel.

Your other problem may be that the clip supplied with the filter, as well as the one in use, is wrong. It uses a metal spring clip. Only place I've found them besides the dealer is dorman part number 800-093. That may be a lot of the confusion about that side. Sorry I didnt catch it before...
