Thanks for the tip Atomic. Got any suggestion on the search terms in ebay to find them? I have tried a few and there are a lot of lights available.

    offroad light resource assistance

Thebigbluebus, Yes just like yours. And no, mine doesn't appear to be smiling. LOL I got the ProComp's, clearly NOT a 4x6" light. Oh well, I will keep them as I have another use for them in the coming weeks, but I will keep looking for a decent sized light to fill those holes in the bumper.

    Fuel efficiency improvements

I have found the best way to increase mileage aside form what has already been mentioned is: - Keep the RPM's under 2k at all times. - Cruise Control on the highway ALL the time! Cruise control alone on the highway saves me gallons of fuel on every trip. - Find the least traffic path to work...

    New Bumper

Got my smoothie bumper installed yesterday. Only took 1hour. It was starting to get cold and windy, plus I had to pee, so I was motivated. Totally straight forward and all the bolts came out easy. Unfortunately the lower valance was a little jacked up from years of abuse, so I am either going to...

Thanks all. I searched and searched and eventually found the ProComp 4x6 lights. They are only 55w, but I am ok with this. I'll post pics when it's complete.

    offroad light resource assistance

I got a smoothie front bumper with the light holes in it from LMC. The holes are 4.5" x 6.5". I am trying to find a 4x6" light to fit the holes. Anyone have any resources for this? Thanks, MWNT

    need opinions!!!

A white pearl would look real nice. That bright white would look fancy too. I concur! Light colors show less dirt then dark colors, always have. I own three cars. Red 05 VW Beetle, White 09 VW CC, Blue 96 Tahoe (I'm patriotic too:patriot:) The CC always looks clean. Colors (IMHO)...

BFG All Terrains or Nitto Terra Grapplers

As did mine many years back. But these tires were also on a Ferd Bronhco that I drove like I stole it. (I have since wised up and migrated to the Chevy party)

    Money to burn...Thoughts, Ideas, Suggestions!

Mechanic gave good news, front end is solid (surprisingly) only needed to address an issue with the steering box being loose. Steering is much better now. We did find a leak on the front driver-side axle that needed to be fixed. The Axle seal was leaking like a sieve. Helped finalized the last...

    Money to burn...Thoughts, Ideas, Suggestions!

SS Lines added to list. Gonna wait until the current pads/rotors are a little more worn out before replacing those. Tossing around some front end work too. Tie rod ends and pitman arm etc. I'm gonna be seeing my local mechanic in the next week for fluid changes, perhaps he has some insight...

    Money to burn...Thoughts, Ideas, Suggestions!

I have $600 to play with. I really like the smoothie bumpers so again that's a direction I am leaning towards. I have de-badged already, but the Billet Grill is a nice thought. Or at least inserts to the current grill. Some other items that are happening with this money are a trans temp gauge...

    Money to burn...Thoughts, Ideas, Suggestions!

So I got a little money to burn. Performance wise I am happy. I also got a set of Z71 Wheels from a member here so wheels and tires are spoken for. I'm leaning towards a diesel front bumper with lights. Front Bumper from LMC (#3) http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/csd/full.aspx?Page=19...

    Speaker Install ?'s

You should have plenty of depth, but a spacer can only help. Those PPI Art Series are the BOMB! Had a few of them back in the day...you can crank them all day long with little to no issues. Just watch them if you start dropping the Ohm rating with to many speakers attached, they get fussy...

    OBS Sighting, Paramus NJ

I Saw a Champagne colored OBS 2dr Tahoe on Rt 4 East by Rt 17. They passed me as I was getting off Rt 4. Nice truck!!! Clean, debadged, tint, slight lift, rocking what looked to be 33x12.5x16's. Curious to know if the owner is on this board?

Dead battery, I'm done with Optima!

I liked the specs on the MTP-78's. Higher CCA, good reserve etc. The warranty is also a big plus. Interstate does well backing their products too. Price is a good consideration too. My MTP's were $107/each. I got both new batteries for just a little more than the price of a single Optima...

Anyone know what the probability that this tires would fit on a 1996 Tahoe 2dr with stock suspension??? The price alone for the rims is great IMO.

Dead battery, I'm done with Optima!

Just an Isolator. I don't venture far off the beaten path anymore to warrant any higher accountability on the system. I think I would recommend to EVERYONE that they upgrade the feed to the fuse panel under the hood. It's only a 8Ga wire directly from the battery. I found the mount at the...

Dead battery, I'm done with Optima!

Well with the 2nd battery install, I came to realize that the Alternator was not in good shape as well. My past experienced has always showed they tend to be connected in failure. The Alt was pumping out 14-16.6V. Anything above 15 is danger for a battery over time. Regulator was bad so in went...

    96 tahoe tune?

I have a 96 2dr with the 5.7L. I got my BBTune not to long ago. I did not require a crank re-learn! Check with BlackBear first though, they are super helpful and will answer all questions first before getting you the tune. I opted for the extra computer ($60) so I could keep my original as a...
