2004 Yukon Denali. I just turned 234,000. I bought it at 110K about 7 years ago. I have done two fluid changes on trans (with filter) and tow light (small u-haul) occasionally. I don't drive it hard and usually passed at the starting gate. Slow starts, No OD on grade (drive slower) fluid...
I have an 04 Denali (not XL). I bought it with 112K and now has 230K. It was solid when I bought it and although I have done a number of maintenance items over 6 years it is still solid. I changed the trans fluid and filter twice and regularly drain and fill transfer case and front diff. I...

Ha ha. Name calling. I have been scolded on this forum by a Mr. Know-It-All-Always Right guy who obviously knew more than I. I thought it childish. Ridiculous.
But that's not the point on this particular thread.
I too am interested in a subwoofer for my 2004 Denali. I think there is a lot...
I agree.
If your problem exists when your fuel level shows under 1/4 then either your fuel is lower than you think or the fuel pick up is drawing air. If you have a fuel pressure tester (about $20 at HF) at the time symptoms are present, then attach the tester (if safe to do so) and check...
Just an update to the previous post...the epoxied shaft did not last more than two days. I bought the new upper case half with included blend doors as the fix. This installation took much less time having just had it apart a couple days prior. All good now.
Scott,
Try Just_Chevy_Trucks website. They have used (reclaimed) parts. The 4481 is about $375 free shipping. They're on eBay. I bought a front diff from them and put new seals in it. Works fine.

I expected a actuator issue but I found the same broken shaft on the blend door. This door operates the second door along side it's via a linkage. I epoxied mine back together because the break fit tight.
Before and after this is the shaft and door (one piece). You have to take the upper...
All good information, especially when including pictures. That helps the DIY Guy.
I have gone here before replacing the rear door blend actuator having heard a tick, tick, tick, sound and warm air during a/c function. Replacing the actuator fixed the problem for three years. Now I hear that...
Not sure what you mean but if yours is a Denali it probably has the BW4481 AWD unit. Not sure if 2002 had the same but a like chassis model Tahoe or Cadillac would be a candidate. Is that what you mean?
I concur its either the sensor or stepper motor (somewhat common). Use an infrared thermo checker ($24.99 at HF) to verify your temps at thermostat housing and radiator coolant hoses. That will satisfy the actual temp.
Believe it or not a 6 pack stepper motor set for the whole gauge cluster is...
I had the P0455 on my 04 Yukon Denali. I found the vent valve solenoid was sticking due to dirt. I took it out and using a 12v source activated and deactivated while blowing air though both ends of it. Lots of dirt and grit. Once clean and working good I checked it with air going through and...
Glad you got that fixed. Observing your first post and answering the last you said you charcoal canister is covered with transfer case oil.
That should be next. Your transfer case should be dry outside unless you left your fill plug out or you have a seal leak.
Ok guys (and gals) and others that want to know ...
Borg Warner 4481 transfer case bolts (actually a Torx screw) for the case halves is 15 Foot Pounds.
On final assembly clean mating surface of case halves thoroughly and dry. Use the proper anaerobic sealer and circle each bolt hole one side...
After you get your brake pedal adjusted per all the above suggestions, I suggest a set of Performance Friction Carbon Metallic front pads. Once these pads heat up (one stop) they work great. I have used these on a lot of my cars for years.
I have a 2004 Denali AWD (NR3) BW8881 transfer case. I am doing the overhaul with bearings and seals plus a new HV076 chain. It really only needs the front seal but while its out …
Without spending $200 for the overhaul manual I am wondering if anyone out there has one.
GMPT04TURM is the...
Yep. I concur.
35823AHD The Beast 700R4 4L60E Transmission sun gear shell.
The Beast Shell. 700R4 4L60E automatic transmission reaction sun gear shell.
Required thrust washer is included. About $65.
There are a few performance parts to consider also like 4th gear servo, updated band and a...
Hey gang,
I have searched the internet for CV halfshafts for my 2004 GMC Yukon Denali (AWD).
Lots of numbers and references but no reliability statements. Two numbers appear for the OE shafts ... GM26969244 and GM26069252, one obviously is the updated version of the other as is usually the...
I can add that if the electronics (valves and solenoids) are not replaced at the time of the so called rebuild, you will be back soon. If the trans has over heated it affects these electronics too. Expect to pay $1800+ and more otherwise you are not getting a full rebuild. I have seen several...
I had this irritating code. Gas cap was nofix. The vent valve in the rear was the issue first time. I tested it on the bench with 12v to apply and release. Seemed fine dust/dirt was in the solenoid keeping it from working. I used air and spray cleaner to get it working. Without resetting and...
The 4L65e came into being in 2001 however I would bet yours is the 4L60e.
Outside they don't really have any cosmetic cues that I am aware of. Your VIN would help as would the code on your glove box door. I believe the M30 code is the 4L60e. I'll have to look further for a code for the heavier...
Assuming its all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive my reply is this, I see you are at 163K miles and since the sounds is consistent with speed and not gear selection I would start with the front differential. If you don't know when it was last serviced if ever then drain that fluid. It will no doubt...
