Mine has the green caps on it, but the dealer said nothing about it and there were no extra charges. I just assumed that the factory was using Nitrogen now.
You also might want to disconnect the negative battery cable for a few minutes (some say 10 minutes) and reconnect. That re-boots the computer systems associated with just about everything!
Since I originally posted this back in September (5 months ago), I thought I'd check to see if this vehicle sold yet. Nope, still for sale with only 5 more miles on it and the price lowered to $76,000 now!!
Just so everyone is clear, I believe what started here is about what is new for GM in the Navigation world with "Maps +":
https://www.gmc.com/gmc-life/design-technology/gmc-maps-plus
"newyukondriver" sums it up pretty good, but I'm still not clear on whether this is a replacement for the old...
FYI; For 2021, it was just the "Mechanical Limited Slip Differential" RPO code "G86" (new for the independent rear suspension). So it did have a LSD, just not the electronic version, which it looks like they're offering now.
I was traveling Westbound on I40 on the West side of OKC this morning and saw two new unmarked 2021 (or 2022) Tahoes having pulled over a couple of cars about 100 yards apart. You wouldn't be able to tell they're LE (stock colors and wheels) except for their flashers that lit up to where you...
Here is my window sticker showing I got the "1st/2nd Row All Weather Floor Liners" and "Wheel Locks" from the factory and shows "Dealer Installed" because they just throw them in the back at the factory. So if those items are on the window sticker, I'd call them out on it. If they are adding...
Are you cross-checking these pressure numbers immediately after adding air to the tires? I seem to remember reading somewhere that the TPMS does not instantly update after adding/removing air from the tires and that the vehicle must be driven a short distance before it's updated. Personally, I...
Well, everyone is entitled their opinion, but I still see these prices of both new and used cars as "price gouging" according to the basic definition of the word: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Price_gouging
I agree that as long as it's legal, ask for what ever you want and as you say, "whether...
I was thinking the same thing and clicked on the CarFax report they offer and didn't see any mention of major repairs. It showed a 5/14/21 entry for the original Chevrolet dealer and was sold on 5/15/21. It showed 1 recall item accomplished and then it was offered for sale by the Ford dealer on...
I brought my wife's 2017 Ford Escape into our local Ford dealership for routine service and I noticed a 2021 Tahoe Z71 in their used car area! So I had to see what they were asking for it, and from what I could tell, it didn't have any of the sought after options (i.e., Trailer Package, Air-Ride...
Here is what it looks like in my 2021 Tahoe. So if you can tell if the wiring and the location can support the unit, you could likely install it. The problem is finding one. Maybe salvage yards should start seeing some soon...
Update: I sent an E-mail to the Service Manager and got a call with an apology and they promised to do it correctly this time. Long story short, here's the invoice from the latest update and so far, no bogus "Check Reverse Lamp." So we'll see if I get the same results as "Thunder22."
Went back to the dealer today to have them finish up recalls that had parts on order and told them again about the "Check Reverse Lamp" still showing up and gave them a copy of PIT5777 and told them about TSB #21-NA-044. I didn't read the paperwork before I left and the minute I shut down...
I went through Dennis for another 48 month/48000 mile extended warranty for my 2014 C7 Corvette. This was my second extended warranty, which I expected to be on the high side since at the warranty end point the car will be 11 years old. He has a very good reputation on the C7 Corvette Forum, and...
When I was stationed in Hawaii 1988-1993, dealers over there were charging several thousand over MSRP, calling it "Market Adjustment." Then as the internet started to grow, locals started to figure out they could buy a car in the mainland (from a bigger selection) and ship it via Matson for less...
Welcome to the Tahoe Z71 world! It never sounds good when you hear about a SEMI totaling your ride and hopefully your wife was not injured!!
We really like our Tahoe Z71 and you should definitely notice a better ride with the new independent rear suspension. Here's 2 pics of ours:
Also, if you happen to have the Certificate of Origin (In Oklahoma the dealer provides this to us because the vehicle owner is responsible for getting Title and Tag from a Tag Agency), the "day" the vehicle is manufactured is provided. Here's a copy of mine with the Red arrow pointing to the...
Mine is a Tahoe and I never had this problem, but I went to the dealer today to have 2 recalls taken care of and when I showed up they told me there were 5 recalls!! This one identified by the letter "B" was one that apparently came out recently and sounds like this is what you experienced(?)...
Update: Brought mine into the dealer today for oil change, and 2 recalls. When I got there they said I had 5 recalls and they would take care of them. Told them about the reverse lamp issue and I guess they just assumed one of these software updates would fix it. Well, I get home and after...
Nope. Bought mine in November too (Vehicle manufactured in August) and have the same problem. Here's one post discussing this.
https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/check-reverse-lamp.123098/
Bringing mine in for a software update next month that is said to cure this.
I've got the "Preliminary Information" Bulletin #PIT5777, but I can't find the TSB #21-NA-044 for the software update where you said this fixed it. Did you post it somewhere else in another Audio/Electronics thread?
Thanks.
