Yea... I noticed a little mark on the L/H frame- bushing bracket, from a "tap-tap".... Just a little massage to fit... Just like home construction.... nothing is actually square.... You have to make it fit.- mountie

You just described my '05..... * Also, in my mind, when I see a 'not new' Tahoe / Yukon, and is all stock, and very clean looking, I see it as a well-kept truck,... not messed with. More valuable.- mountie

The Hellwig bars fit easily front & rear on my stock '05 Yukon XL... Are you saying, the bars don't fit as well if your truck is raised or lowered?- mountie

Yea... the stock front sway bar is a hollow pipe. Good bushings won't improve the cheap bar.- mountie

I drove in familiar territory.... Now that I have both sway bars & all shocks replaced..... I feel, a "newness" with the '05 Yukon XL . 1st thing.... I noticed is less 'recoil' from mild rolling bumps, but still a smooth ride. 2nd thing.... Braking and 'stop light' acceleration, there is...- mountie

I can relate....... After years as a 'performance driving instructor', ..I learned a good handling vehicle will get you away from a 'problem'. ( Avoiding an accident.... You steer away from the problem first. Then slow down if needed. Just slamming on the brakes, ...you loose your ability...- mountie

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?
After installing the Hellwig rear sway bar & front Bilstiens, Today, got the Hellwig front anti-roll bar & rear shocks..... Feels pretty good.... I heard, it takes a few miles to break in the new shocks... I had it done, at a NICE custom truck shop..... They charged only an hour's labor. (...- mountie

2005 Yukon shock conversion
In short.... Nivomat or other "adjusting - height" shocks are more firm as they are more of a supporting - weight shock, so the springs are softer.- mountie
