Either keep the one you have with the warranty, or demand a new 2025 with the duramax in it when it comes in. Those are the only acceptable outcomes I would accept.
The problem is you may be forced into taking it in order to get certain trim levels or options you want. Personally I don't care how good it is when I'm driving i'm driving. Not really interested in it but if I buy a new ultimate in 25.....I'm sure I'll be forced to take it.....
Right now I barely put in one jug per oil change of six to 7000 miles. If it was even double that that still only a jug every three months. That's nothing. Takes 5 min to dump one in with no mess. Go to Walmart every week, could store a jug or 2 at home if necessary. It doesn't go bad as much as...
That's OK, DEF is cheap and easily accessible in my book. We spend more going out to eat in one meal than the money I would spend on that in six months. A non factor in my purchase....
Mine is pretty pristine and If I could get top dollar for it, I could be possibly persuaded into an Ultimate Denali LZ0. Could be the last diesel year... who knows...?
Instead of assuming the worst, get it to a Cadillac dealer of your choice, and you may be surprised it could be back in less than a week in top running condition. Don't overthink it. If it's Covered..... it's covered.
Yep, I was seriously going to look at an Esky for 25 or 26, but with no Dmax that is a hard no. Just seen this week in our area they are stretching the margin on premium to +1.20 a gal from a dollar. What's to stop them? Saw 2 stations today that were 3.49 RUL and 4.69 Prem...... Diesel 3.79....
Well.... being covered under warranty certainly is important, but who wants to drive a vehicle that first of all... can leave you stranded at any given moment, and second of all could be out of service for weeks or longer and have the same fix put in it that could leave you stranded a second...
At first, we thought the lifter issues were confined to a very short production time frame. Proved to be false. About every time we think 6.2 issues are behind us another one crops up with 3-7000 miles on it and has the same issues as one's 18 months before. As an expensive issue as this is I...
The stock tires are junk and a terror filled ride on any wet hwy. Michelin's are always a good choice, I personally went with the latest series of Pirellis AS +3, since they were at a substantial discount plus a $100 rebate and ended up being $450 less than comparable Michelins @ Discount tire...
No engine is "flawless". I'm on the other forums too. There are problems here and there, but if you polled the LM2 owners I think you would find that 98% of them are super happy with the product and have basically had no engine related problems.... that's not too bad for a totally new engine...
They go through skids of this stuff every week. You couldn't find an old bottle if you wanted to. A bonus to using this stuff is you get a great waste oil jug when you change your oil to take and recycle. Plus, you don't have to deal with pumps at stations that aren't maintained or are dirty. No...
Well recently there has been a common theme of main bearings letting go on the crank due to bad clearances. If you search around you'll find an amount of both issues cropping up. Diesel vehicles also present a certain number of quirks over time, but I'm on my 4th one and by and large they have...
Well Costco is about 40 minutes away for us, I wish they were closer, we would buy all our non diesel fuel there if we could. My wife's Jaguar takes premium, and I tell her to fill it every time she goes there.
That's why I stuck with a diesel. Can go 40% further on a gallon of fuel, premium is 4.79 a gallon in my area diesel is 3.79, regular is 3.69. Plus, no worries on the all too often discussed potential breakdown points of the 6.2...
A dollar a gallon extra is just being gangsters.....wasn't THAT...
