One torsion bar seems to be worn?

Two things, one while the threads on the adjusting bolt can hold the load, they aren't strong enough to turn while loaded, especially unlubricated. Any manual that says adjust them while the suspension is loaded is plain wrong, that's a poor way to do it and risking thread damage. Second, when a...

    The exhaust dead horse...

I have a 40 series on my wife's suv and there is no drone inside the cab. Sure there is a note the muffler really hits well but it doesn't resonate inside the cab and create something uncomfortable.

    The exhaust dead horse...

If you know about mufflers, you'll know there are two basic kinds. Baffles, and fiberglass. Depending on specifics, they can each flow well or terrible, and be loud or pretty quiet. But the baffle mufflers like Flowmaster always have the tone, where the fiberglass packed generally dont, at least...

    The exhaust dead horse...

This is easy, single in single out hooker aerochamber. It will give you the deepest idle, no droning, decently volume on throttle and a mellow cruise. Its just about the perfect muffler. And its straight through.

No, it adjusts on and off based on the ride height sensors attached to the lower control arms is my understanding. Yes its possible it has an over-pressure release valve.

    new u joints/ minor vibration @70+

U joint phasing is built into the shaft, you cant change it. But how you took the front slip yoke off and reinstalled it can effect balance. On my wifes suv, it has a rear bolt on block also. I put it on 180 off (can only go on two ways) and her truck picked up a vibration. Took it back off...

One torsion bar seems to be worn?

Im not trying to bust your balls buddy, but you dont have a clue about how a torsen bar works. Listen carefully, if you index the key wrong, your truck wont even remotely be put back together correctly. The suspension is gonna be way too high or way too low. Thats not a mistake you "maybe" made...

New Yukon XL owner. Problem with 3.42 diff

Any 8.5/8.625 diff will work. It needs to be from year model 99 and newer, as the older differentials have slightly different bearings. You need to check the options on the truck to see if it has an open differential (one wheel peel) or a gov-lock locking posi-traction which was an option. They...

Yukon 6.0 AWD - problem with viscose.

Sorry sir, some hubs are not designed that way. Im running an OEM Timken replacement that is for AWD, and i have the axle shafts removed. Guess what, it hasnt fallen apart. The axle DOES NOT hold the hub together, it just rides inside of it. I have detailed pics of it on this site as you aren't...

Yukon 6.0 AWD - problem with viscose.

That depends on the specific hub. Mine are not like that, the axles just ride inside, they serve no function in keeping the hub together.

Yukon 6.0 AWD - problem with viscose.

Depending on the year of his truck you cannot just remove the front drive components unless you remove all of them. Meaning you cannot run the transfer case without front and rear outputs hooked up and working. Also, removing the front diffs doesnt save much weight, they are aluminum and fairly...

Yukon 6.0 AWD - problem with viscose.

I converted mine to 2wd, it wasnt hard at all. Most likely what you are hearing is the front differential. They are super common for making whining noises. Mine did when i bought it. Light noise like whining or howling is probably normal. Loud noise is an indicator it may need to be replaced...
