@Actifenpleinair I think so, it is now lower to the ground the wheels are closer to the body. I suspect I picked up at least 1mpg since I removed the lift and wheel spacers.
@Joseph Garcia In contrast, Spohn claims that their delsphere joints are greased from the factory and NEVER need to be greased but they added a zero fitting due to customer backlash about them not being grease able
You'll only rub on the suspension if you change the wheel offset but with a decent amount of trimming and maybe the norcal mod you'll be able to fit those
@Trey Hardy I wanted to go with Kryptonite balljoints but because of a few factors I’m opting to replace the whole arm. Since the Moog didn’t last long I’m going to try the TTX arms. The Moog bushings seem good still but I can see bits of rubber coming off
@jaywestfall Thank you for you input about the Mevotech. I used their upper TTX arms and I was impressed by the packaging but the matte silver finish of the ball joint and hardware is very strange it looks almost aluminum. What's up with that?
@swathdiver I used the Moog CK control arms, the $120 ones from Rock Auto. Same with the rest of my suspension I used the “good” Moog parts and have to replace most of it already. So far the tie rods seems fine.
@Doubeleive I hear you, my current arms are only 3-4 years old so I was going to just try and do the ball joints. Now that I'm thinking about it if I did the whole control arm I could leave everything else connected to knuckle without the need to fit a ball joint press in there I can just slide...
@Joseph Garcia I just replaced the lower control arms three years ago so I am hoping the bushings are good still. What’s the best way to check lower control arm bushings ?
Thanks I bought a set of Kryptonite lower ball joints. Hopefully they last longer than the last set of Moog. I really don't want to have to be redoing my suspension every 3 years.
I need to replace my lower ball joints, thinking about going with Kryptonite but can't find any reviews about them.
What lower ball joints are you running and how long have you had them installed?
