Ok, I used the 3 amp 50 volt diodes and it worked. I found out that a bonus to doing this is that it fixes the dimming dome light LED issue without having to buy CANbus bulbs. So the LED issue must be an 03-06 issues as mine is an 03.
You are correct, it is more or likely the oil pressure sending unit. The same thing happened to mine (pegged to 80 on start up). It's not too bad to replace. All you have to remove is the top engine cover. Make sure you get the socket for it though because a standard socket is too thick to...
I have a set of tinted LED tails. I purchased them brand new and they are tinted with urethane paint. I'd be willing to sell or trade for a set of untinted red LED tails.
I'm pretty sure the issue I had was related to a wire going to the throttle body. There is a TSB on this. It is on 03-06 models only. It still happens to me occasionally. I just turn off the truck, open the hood, and move the wires leading into the throttle body. Here is the TSB
I jack up the spindle (in an area that doesn't get in the way of the lower arm) to put more tension on the lower ball joint then beat the lower arm by the ball joint to shock it loose. Obviouslly leave the nut on a few turns so it doesn't violently separate.
Have you driven it a short distance? If you haven't you need to and you will see that it will lower it. You need to get an alignment to corrent your tire issue.
Did you trim your front jounce stops? When you lower with keys your A-arm gets closer to the jounce stops and when you use spindles the A-arm stays the same as stock. So when you use keys and/or A-arms to lower you need to cut the jounce stops back or there will be a greater constant force on...
Since you dropped the PS front an inch I woud get it aligned again if it were my vehicle. If you don't, keep a VERY close eye on your tread wear because I'm pretty sure that is enough to really change the camber.
Bring on the pics!!
Did you already get an alignment after you dropped it?
I have my passenger side all of the way out and my driver side all of the way in and I'm still a litter higher on my passenger side.
The one from the Silverado SS should be close. You will probably have to modify it some but it should work. I remember seeing somewhere that somebody did that.
Well today I all of a sudden got a P0302 code (misfire cylinder #2). I did a tune-up not too long ago. Everything looked good on cylinder #2 so i disconnected the wiring going to the fuel injector and I guess I broke it. I was confused on how to disconnect it and guess I didn't pull on the...
Also If you want a little more height in the front for free swap your torsion bars from side to side. I tried that on mine to get rid of the chevy lean while still staying low and it raised me up 1-2" in the front.
I put two jack stands on both front sides so the front end was up in the air and the rear was still on the ground. You shouldn't need the jack in the front.
Also, you might try diconnecting the shocks off of the bottom arms to let it fall more then try your clamp at the keys. That would be...
I have the shortest button bump stops that energy suspension makes. There are holes on the axle that I put them through versus drilling/tapping the frame.
By looking at your measurements, before and after, they pretty much stayed the same so I wouldn't think you did anything wrong with the new installation of the bars. I would take the rear springs out and make sure they are seated properly when reinstalling. Also for a peice of mind I would...
I would try a new ISS. When I was doing research to replace mine I read of some people having the new ISS fail on them rather quickly. It's fairly inexpensive so I would give it a shot.
