My truck just threw these 2 codes. Has anybody else had these codes at the same time and what was done to correct it?? At first I had "reduced engine power" with the check engine light but the next time I started the truck it didn't have "reduced engine power" but the check engine light was still on.

Have you been under the hood doing anything of late ? Could you have dislodged the the connectors from the MAF or T-Body ? Sounds like the MAF and the T-Body are arguing over the air flow amount. Check connections at both. Check for air leaks between the two. Could be bad MAF. If the inputs to ECM from either of these sensors doesn't agree it could cause it to go into "limp" mode. Hope this helps.

This might not work with those codes, but it usually works with throttle position sensor codes. It's worth a try before you spend a bunch of money. Get some throttle cleaner and clean the throttle body. Then cycle the connector on the throttle body 4 or 5 times and apply some diaelectric grease to the connector. Clear the codes and see if any come back. If they do, you likely need a new throttle body.

Cleaned tb which wasn't very dirty and connectors all look in good condition. I got p1514 and p1516. Found AC Delco tb for 181 local. No leaks and cleaned maf sensor. I hate to but time to buy a new one i think.

I'm pretty sure the issue I had was related to a wire going to the throttle body. There is a TSB on this. It is on 03-06 models only. It still happens to me occasionally. I just turn off the truck, open the hood, and move the wires leading into the throttle body. Here is the TSB

SES Light and Reduced Engine Power with a DTC P1516: DTCs P0120 , P0220 , P1514 , P1515 , P1518 and P2135 May Be Present; 04 Trucks and Utilities with GENIII V-8 Engines - kw 4.8 5.3 6.0 #PIP3089 - (Jul 30, 2004)

SES Light and Reduced Engine Power with a DTC P1516: DTCs P0120, P0220, P1514, P1515, P1518 and P2135 May Also Be Present
.

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

Condition/Concern:
SES light and reduced engine power with a DTC P1516. DTCS P0120, P0220, P1514, P1515, P1518 and P2135 may also be present.

Recommendation/Instructio ns:
If the SI diagnostics do not isolate the cause, inspect the Yellow TAC Motor Control Circuit (581) about 1 inch to 4 inches from the throttle body connector to see if it is broken inside of the insulation. Repair as necessary.

Models:
(03 - 04 Cadillac Escalade C1, C6, K1, K6) and (03 - 04 Chevrolet Avalanche C1, K1, C2, K2) and (03 - 04 Chevrolet Silverado Truck C1, K1, C2, K2, C3, K3 ) and (03 - 04 Chevrolet Tahoe C1, K1 ) and (03 - 04 Chevrolet Suburban C1, K1, C2, K2, C3, K3 ) and (03 - 04 GMC Sierra Truck C1, K1, C2, K2, C3, K3 ) and (03 - 04 GMC Yukon C1, K1 ) and (03 - 04 GMC Yukon XLC1, K1, C2, K2, C3, K3) and (03 - 04 Hummer H2 N2 ) and (03 - 04 Buick Rainier S1, T1 ) and (03 - 04 Chevrolet Trail Blazer EXT S1, T1 ) and (03 - 04 GMC Envoy XL XUV S1, T1)

Im having this problem, any further updates with this? I got two CEL codes:
P0120 & P2135 Throttle / Pedal position sensor.
From what I heard I may need to replace the entire TB to fix the sensor issue. Any truth to that firsthand?
