When I first got my 6"lift, 34.5 x 16 tires, it rode like stock. After years of abuse, parts worn out, etc, it's far from that. My point is maybe you have other issues that need to be addressed. Going lower may not solve your driveability concerns.
Is anybody with a lift running remote reservoir shocks? There was someone who posted pics but I think it was only in the rear. Most sights say for XL , 2500 or won't fit.
Maybe I'm not understanding your post but you're supposed to be in N when you change to 4H ,4L, and back to 2H. As for Auto, the only time I used it, I engaged it while climbing a hill then I lost my front diff. The fork got bent I assume it's because I was moving while it kicked in. I know...
It's mainly outside but in patrial shade. I always date and write the mileage on the filter when I change the oil and last time it was a year old with only a few hundred miles. Yea, probably at least once a year should be OK. Heck it's probably time to do it!
Question....
My ride sits a lot, I mean A LOT! It'll actually take years for me to hit 5000 miles. With full synthetic how often should the oil be replaced? 6 months?
Do you drive it every day? Mine sits for weeks at a time and I have that ticking at start up too (not every time). Couldn't be an exhaust leak because it goes away before the engine would get hot enough to seal it. Neighbor has it as well and they too don't drive it every day. I'm thinking the...
My crappy mpg is most likely due to the engine needing some lovin. The last few trips I've had to fuel up more than usual. My previous post wasn't meant to mean that 4.56 will make mpg suffer, it's the whole package like Mudsport said. Also, I carry a lot of weight in the back (spare tire...
It had an intermittent metal on metal sounding noise last week. Then the other day it got louder and more frequent. Then finally I heard a chirp and then nothing. I knew the belt had snapped. Could barely turn the pulley by hand. Took it off and it basically fell apart. The AC works great...
Thanks. Yea it's the smooth one. I'll try to turn the compressor , see if that's the culprit. The spring on the tensioner seems pretty strong still. Thanks again.
