I'm running the smaller pulley on mine. They gave it to me for free so why not. Also running a small amp setup so figured it would be beneficial to install it.
I used to have several optima's as well. However I wouldn't buy one again, Everything I have read about them hasn't been good for the past few years. Seems like they aren't what they used to be.
Mine used to be on my license plate. Worked alright for backing up, but hardly helps on backing to a trailer. I moved it to the key hole on my barn door handle and the view is much better from higher up. Really easy to back up to a trailer now. Perfect position every time.
Im sure you could pick up all thats needed from a salvage yard. Not sure what they would charge you though. That would be my route though. Probably need the AC compressor from one with rear air as well. Im certain it would be quite a bit of work to get it all done though.
Well good luck with it then. Probably have better luck finding a radio on ebay though.
Out of curiosity why bother? What does a nnbs radio do that a good aftermarket cant?
Yes, but because yours is a 02 your harness will have a wire you have to tag into the ac compressor harness and one that goes to the pcm. 03+ both wires go to the pcm.
That is true, and I believe there is still a way for you to use the pcm. But I belive it requires repinning some stuff on the ecm. Search around some and you'll find it. I believe there is some threads in the tech section
The dealer can do it, but some just don't know how. I spoke with my local dealer service manager and he was clueless. I even told him how to do it but he wasn't confident they could. He told me they would charge me an hour of labor and attempt it lol... I just waited till I got my tune...
Yes...
My O'Reilly still turns rotors. I usually start in the morning and pull them all off, drop the rotors off and then come back a couple hours later and reinstall it all.
The amp is inside the center console. You could try to bypass it and see if that works. Or all or your speakers are blown and cut in and out when they want to lol. I have seen both cases
Hmm... I haven't played with mine at all. Currently running some RE Audio 6.5 components. While not terrible, not what Im looking for. Im currently on a very low budget hence the flutes and Vifa's. I already swapped the RE tweets for the Vifa's and am really happy with them. The RE woofers...
I have the xt25s. They will be fairly on axis. Figure I'll start with 2k/24db on both. The flutes are good to about 2500 from what others have seen. Been contemplating using some wide bands instead.
Good to hear. I will be running Silver Flute 8's with Vifa Ring radiators active off a Pioneer 5700bhs. Really looking forward to hearing it. I have a Stereo Integrity HT18 for sub duties, Really love that sub. When turned down it blends very well with the front stage, but can also crank on it...
I'm on a 275/65r18. I believe they are +25 and I have no rubbing. But sticking out another 49mm I think will cause issues without a lift. Thats almost 2 inches...
