Broke the tip off. I guess I have to pay someone. It's an E5 torx if anybody tries in the future. I don't know how I could have not broken it. With a 1/4 in drive ratchet I couldn't put much torque on it. And it looks like someone else tried and broke the plastic clip. Bummed.
I couldn't tell from under the truck and I have never seen a hex head with male torx tip screw. I just saw the hex head on the other side when I examined the new part. So now I just need to buy a torx socket set. Thanks again bro. You're awesome.
Yes, I have the one in your picture. Dorman 590-225. Dorman 590-224 is the one everyone on youtube is replacing for pre 2010. What your picture doesn't show is the fan right on top of the radiator support or whatever that frame piece is. No room between for even my hand to touch the screw...
I took the splash guard off. My sensor is not held on by a 10mm bolt. All the videos show a 10mm bolt from the bottom up. Mine is attached from the top down. I can’t tell what size or type of fastener is holding it on. The head of the bolt or screw is above.
So I've had an airbag light and service airbag warning in my DIC for a while. I've doing research and ordered the part. Everything I've read and watched says it's easy DIY. Located under the radiator, remove the skid plate with 15mm, remove sensor with 10mm. I get under the truck remove the...
Was anyone able to stop the center rattle without pulling the dash? I'm thinking of just glueing the cracks and covering with a dash mat like the one listed above.
It was happening to me about once a month, then after about 4 months it would come back every week and then everyday. Had it scanned and it was the steering wheel position sensor.
So I got the Arnott 2708's installed. Did a quick 300 miles in town and freeway. They work great, the whole family commented on the ride. I spoke to someone at Arnott and she told as long as I keep the receipt the Lifetime warranty is good. HUGE markup from the NAPA shop though.
And that price...the shop wants to use these with a 30% markup. The warranty company is not willing to authorize over $600 per shock. NAPA also sells Arnott's so hopefully today I can get this done.
So my truck is at a local mechanic here in Hemet. I have a third party warranty that covers new shocks. The shop is affiliated with NAPA. Has anyone tried NAPA

I've owned several suv's with the 5.3 and now have a Denali XL. I don't think I could ever go back to the 5.3. I would definitely miss the 6.2 too much.
I'm debating the Arnott passive or Bilstein 5100. I rarely tow, and when I do it's a U-haul trailer or a pontoon boat so I don't think I'll need to retain the auto leveling.
