I'm going buy the vacuum cap for power steering pump and try vac. Bleed it . Mine has hydro boost and cooler I can't get the air out.

Something pretty strange about the clear coat .
After dried for 24 hours that orange peel is gone
And I never wet sanded it. It's pretty crazy it must of shrunk or the solvents escaped or something.. so I'm going to mount the 2 and just polish . But I think your right about 3rd coat would be...

Ok it's starting to come around here's second coat clear it was easy to get droplets to pool now. It's drying for 24 hours .. I'm going to wet sand and polish see if that's enough . I should be able to get orange peel out of it . And get some nu finish on and some carnuba wax . We'll see how...
How does it's dream up the ethanol percentage ?

Primer then color . Now these were steel rim with surface rust . So it's not perfection it's more like getting them the best I can . You can see I didn't spend any time sanding on center where center cap covers .

I'm learning... I got it wet sanded with 1500 grit on first coat of clear . Yes all black color dried for 48 hours . But I'm going for finally clear coat tomorrow. I'm going to try the final coat .. then polish it .. we'll see what happens . It's all just Rust-Oleum wheel clear coat on...

Secondary latch isn't salt belt friendly .. I think GM did it so the spare wouldnt fall off if the cable broke. It's a evil latch . lol read the manual it tells you how it's suppose to work lol.

Find a loaded 2006 trust me .. there were alot little things fixed . I'm always into last year of the run .
There's a number of reasons . I would buy 2006 even if needs bit more fixing . 4:10 gears on 5.3 I'm super happy with . Just my 2 cents . But I like all of them back to 2000 . 2003-2005...
Here a bit of a tip that help you out might not make sense now but it will if it's stuck like mine . Take rear license plate off and get long rod and hammer .
Push boot down out of the way and hit on the second Dairy latch but weight needs to be off it so jack tire up also . If doesnt work spin...
I bet the 2006 and newerhave that dam second latch . It's a bugger. This guy on YouTube showed me what I was dealing with otherwise cable would of got cut . And still been hanging there lol.

I'm going to try that .. and way I understand it I can use like 2000 grit on clear coat . Then hit with polish . I need to get one of them handles for the spray can to get color perfect for clear coat ..I will send pictures either way Doom or success. [emoji41][emoji106][emoji1258]

On second coat of filler primer .. has anyone wet sanded color ( going to be black ) before hitting with clear coat .. or after primer do I hit with black then hit with clear coat .. steel rims are being a bit tricky with cooler weather.
