After thinking more about this, I don’t think you have carboned valves or a leaky head gasket—you’d be pushing air out or drinking coolant, not getting a vacuum leak.
Have you watched MAF or MAP values while driving under the conditions that trip the codes. I’m kinda wondering if maybe hammer...
I believe 2007 would be a 4L60e. A step up would be 4L80e, but it's bigger and not a straight in and out swap. As swathdiver said, there are better 6 speed transmissions that might be even better. These are all factory GM units, so the parts are out there, but if you're just looking to rebuild...
Stock replacement. My optimistic side believes the front suspension must have been rebuilt at some point and the mechanic forgot a step. When it's time to do it again i'll go all poly.
I bought a 2007 Tahoe in March--runs and drives great compared to the 2002 it replaced. Really nice truck. Today I changed the oil for the first time and while looking around underneath waiting for the oil to drain, I noticed the driver's side front sway bar link was missing--not just the nut or...
I did a little searching and didn't see this one so here goes:
I bought this 2002 Tahoe at an auction about 6 months ago. About a month ago, the mileage and gear indicator starter blanking out intermittently. On my to do list to solder it up. Third brake light doesn't work and cruise doesn't...
I'm guessing the clunk was just the transfer case engaging. Grinding is never good but it happens. Is everything working normally? If so, file it away in 'things to think about if or when my transmission or transfer case fails in the immediate future.
I've googled and searched here and don't see a problem like mine. My Tahoe has hvac controls above the rear view mirror that I suspect are supposed to make things happen in the headliner vents in the back. No controls in the back seat. The problem is no air movement in the back. Doesn't sound...
The tires may have been in a warehouse for a while before installation. Do you drive on gravel regularly? Regardless of the miles or the age, they're ready for replacement. Get an alignment with the new tires and see if the wandering goes away.
