2008 Yukon Denali - 11,000 miles on replacement engine - Manifold issues?

The motor was replaced in our Yukon in December of 2011. 13 months and 11,000 miles later, I brought it back to the dealership. This time for an oil leak, an engine noise on cold start and a coolant smell. Their diagnosis (so far): - oil leak is from the oil pan gasket - engine noise on...

PhillyDog - we are working on that right now. Pretty sure we are leaning toward having the dealership take it back. I estimate that in the 10 months since buying the vehicle, it has been at the dealership for almost 2 months of that time. That is so crazy!

2008 Yukon Denali - the dealership / GM is rebuilding our tranny AND engine - advice

Well, this is GM certified for 12K miles or 12 months, so I have 3 months left. Then we are relying on the powertrain warranty. I am torn on what to do. Part of me wants to keep the truck, we will have a "new" engine and tranny, so that is great. But here is the big question: are the new...

2008 Yukon Denali - the dealership / GM is rebuilding our tranny AND engine - advice

tranny / engine rebuild Yes it is still under warranty. First Tranny issue: on a "cold" start when shifting from Reverse to Drive the transmission would hesistate/was unresponsive. Was told it was a pin hole leak that allowed fluid to leak so there was no pressure. They replaced some tranny...
