    So I have a '00 and I am about to hit 215k miles, my 5.3 has developed a knock at start up and is starting to burn oil. I am using this as an excuse to either rebuild or do a 6.0 swap. This is my first Tahoe and I can't decide which one so I would appreciate your opinions.

    Went to the dealer and although the look like plastic they are actually aluminum so maybe J-B Weld would work best. The tech said I could remove the pop up wind screen and it would close and still seal but I think I am just going to leave it alone for now. The only way to fix it completely...
