2001 Yukon door locks sticking? Solenoid?
I had a similar problem on my 2004 Yukon where the rear doors would hardly ever unlock, but would always lock after I was under way. From clues on the forum, I learned that there are two relays, one for locking and one for unlocking only the rear doors (?) located in the fuse compartment... -

dashboard/interior illumination not working...
I had the same problem. Replacing the headlight switch/dimmer knob assembly in my 2004 (Part 15194803) fixed the problem. Pulled off the dash bezel, popped out the switch module, using a flat bladed screw driver to release the lower latches, did the trick! I now have dash/interior lights! -
P04055 and P04096 Trouble Codes
I had the P0496 code, and found that the purge solenoid valve, on the intake manifold, was faulty -- not shutting off completely. Replaced it, reset the codes, and hopefully they'll stay off. -
Interior air filters.
We changed the two filters on my son's 2002 Suburban. They were packaged as a set, about $15. Wow, were the old ones dirty! -
Should I remove my rack? Opinions wanted.
I just took off the two cross bars. SF has one old parking garage with very low clearance, and now I can just squeak in with out rubbing. My high point now is 6' 2". -

How do you get OEM cluster bulbs out???
Wow! I have one bulb behind the speedometer LHS that is out. Sounds like it is a big deal to change out just one! Should I just tough it out until more go? 2004 Yukon. Thanks -

Why are 5.3 dogs?
Possibly depends on the individual car's setup. I tried a 2004 Yukon from a dealer's lot, and it was a dog. Then, same day, I found a 5.3 4WD that was much stronger, and I bought it. Very happy (after three months) so far.- Sidepipes

I bought the canister purge solenoid valve from AM-autoparts.com for $30.50, including shipping from eBay. It came quickly, so now it's time to install it. I didn't have a lift, so down came the spare, and under the Yukon go I!. Just like Travieso, I had a hard time getting the hose clips... -
