I don't know anything about the newer ones to be honest with you. I drive a 99 myself. But I can help you with ANY. CB related questions you have. That is my area of expertise. If you look toward the rear of the truck, you'll see my lightning rod, err, antenna ;)
You can get a cig lighter plug at Walmart and clip it on. If you run the radio direct to battery, the negative wire goes to ground, not the negative terminal on the battery.
I watched one the other day too. I'm going to hold off on it for now. Since I have been driving it, it stopped giving me trouble. The PO had this truck sitting for a year and a half and most of the issues I have had worked themselves out after driving it regularly. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Ok so I need to replace the original one. Hard starts after it sits, if you shut it of and start it back up it starts immediately. Anyone done this? How much of a pain is it to pop the upper plenum off and change the regulator?
The wires are premade. The truck runs awesome! I shot a video but I can't figure out how to upload it on tapatalk 2. I'm happy with it so far. The plugs were fouled pretty badly. Before I got this truck the intake manifold gasket was replaced and they didn't do the plugs. Now it's happy :)...
