    Potential 05 owner..?'s

Heat issue shouldn't be too expensive or complicated. I think I've run across a few posts dealing with that problem. If everything else checks out that's probably about what they are selling for.

    Fair price?

Hello S C Collins. I bought my 05 LT this past summer. Options include : sunroof, DVD, heated seats, 3rd row. I gave $5,500 for mine. BUT, mine needed tires, and a few minor fixes. Mine had 188,000 on it when purchased, and I would not be afraid to drive anywhere. That being said, by the time...

    Planning on replacing tpms

No, bought from gm dealer online. Van Chevrolet maybe? Are there vendors on this site that sell oem Chevrolet parts? If so, I would like to support them. This forum has been so helpful. Before I started changing parts, I wonder if I used the correct " learn" procedure. I found several threads...

    Planning on replacing tpms

Replaced all 4 tpms this morning. Put computer in learn setting using sun lit comets instructions- with switch on turn lights on 4 times in 4 seconds. Instead of letting air out of tires I used the kent moore relearn tool. Lf, rf, rr, lr. Horn honked after learning each sensor. After driving...

Rear Heat Problem '05 LS Tahoe

Yes, you can touch the water lines to confirm water circulation. Not sure about part numbers.

Rear Heat Problem '05 LS Tahoe

On my 05 Lt, both actuators are the same. First thing I would do is check hot water line with engine warm to make sure hot water is circulating to the heater core. If so, you can switch actuators to see if blend door actuator is bad (assuming other actuator functioning properly).

    01 Tahoe climate control issues

Do you have any air flowing from the vents ( hot or cold ) when you turn the fan on? If you have cold air flowing, but air won't get hot when you turn the heater on, IMO, probably the control module. If you turn the fan on and no air comes out at all, could be blower motor.

    Planning on replacing tpms

Vikingtrader posted a link to Amazon that has a pic of the tpms activation tool. As for the mechanics of it, idk, from what everyone says once you've installed sensors you place tool on sidewall of tire right next to sensor and press the re-learn button, which synchs new sensor to the computer...

2005 tahoe cannot change rear heat temp...out of ideas

Johnathon- sorry for the late post. From what I understand from reading other posts when fixing mine, when the actuator goes all the way to the right , it is in default mode. Mine did this. After I installed new control module, it did the same thing yours did. I had to take the actuator off and...

Thanks for the reply VikingTrad3r. Do you know what tool is required? A scanner compatible with gm?

    01 Tahoe climate control issues

It's usually the control module. I just fixed the same problem on my 05 tahoe. The actuator goes into default position and closes blend door. There are several really detailed posts available on this problem.

    Planning on replacing tpms

Thanks for the reply. What I was really wondering was does the actual installation involve more than threading the valve stem of the sensor through the rim and tightening the nut? I know after installation all sensors must be re synched. I enjoy doing these things myself, just didn't want to get...

2005 tahoe cannot change rear heat temp...out of ideas

Have you checked the heater line running to the heater core to make sure it's hot ? If you can take the actuator off and manually open the blend door , and the vents blow hot air , it could be an actuator I guess. Maybe a guru will stop by and offer some solid advice. Try switching the front...

2005 tahoe cannot change rear heat temp...out of ideas

    1. Disconnect the battery for about a minute. 2. Reconnect battery 3. Turn the ignition to the ON position for at 1-2 minutes. This is the ON position or first position, NOT the RUN position or second position (I made this mistake). On the ON position, the HVAC systemshould not turn on. So it...
