Depending on the cluster feels on any given day, I just count how many notches I move the lever... 1 Down for reverse 2 more down to Drive 3 back up to Park I don't even look anymore... Kind of like shifting a manual! LOL -
Side post terminal issues
The side-to-top adapter clamps were from O'Reilly. Can't recall the brand, but it is entirely possible the quality control on the molded lead was not 100%... Added SWC, DIC stuff works but radio controls do not...
Call tech. support at Crutchfield. They will tell what would work and what wouldn't. You may be able to get away with a chime/SWC add-in module and maybe new harness connectors. Not sure if the head unit would need programming with Tech 2 still or not... Start with Crutchfield before going off...- MassHoe04

Recommendations for a touch screen apple carplay head unit with backup camera function
I went with a "good-enough-for-me" radio. Not that it would be hard to cut a metal brace, but it was nice not having to do that with my Boss Audio Elite. It did not go deep enough to require cutting. It was about 12 F and night time. Cutting the dash brace would have spilled some blood for sure!- MassHoe04

Military-style clamps like these actually provide more solid backing for multiple accessory cable connections... The fat block on the accessory side of the clamp won't cave in on you. What Tire Pressures Does Everyone Run?
Should be a sticker inside the door jam on the driver's side with pressures for tires that were stock sizes for the truck. 32 would be correct for the stock size of 265/70 R17 LT tires. You can go a little softer in winter or trail riding, but somewhere close to the 32 (+/- a pound or two) would... -

Nice! Boss Audio Elite I got did not require any cutting inside the dash either. Aside from purist restoration jobs, I still scratch my head on why anyone would not want to upgrade to a new head unit. Agreed. Even in the example you gave with the Autel, it could work even longer if the manufacturer didn't make any major changes to vehicle system programming. My Vetronix Tech 2 clone is supposed to be good on GM up to 2006 (or 07? I forgot). No updates required if working on GM up to that year.- MassHoe04

04 Yukon crank but no start, no radio, no power windows/locks
Easiest items to check on first would be ground connections. The wires on the body mount below the front driver's side door are key for grounding out the body control module and a lot of the electronics in the truck. Start there.
