About the MAF cleaner, just use about 1/3 to 1/2 the can and just spray the hell out of every part of the inside from both sides.

As for the O2's, they can have inactivity intermittently and not throw a code like mine was doing. After scanning I could see that at full throttle they were .070 volts apart. After changing, they were .010 apart.

B1S1 was also intermittently flatlining at .449, which is the same as when you first start the truck and the O2's arent working yet. When I went to change it I bought 2, and when I pulled them out, they were different brands and physical type!!!!!! :emotions122:

I assume yours is a 96 from you user name. If so then change any original one you still have on there.[/QUOTE

Mine is a 00, heading out now to get some MAF Cleaner and a new set of OEM Wires and Plugs, hope this fixes it!

even 2000 if they are original o2 then chuck them.

understood....

I checked the part numbers for the wires and the 9718Q is a different wire than what is listed as the "direct replacement" AC Delco 718Q and the latter is $40 more.... any input on this? TIA

unknown at this time.
9718q Wire-wound, stainless steel alloy conductor for maximum spark delivery and RFI suppression.

718q Features a copper-core center electrode but has no supression for interference and is usually best for carbed engines.

I don't believe the 718q's are a good idea.

I will post a pic of the plugs if anyone would like, they all looked exactly the same. They were not wet or otherwise bad besides the obvious signs of misfiring and some detonation.

Truck starts a little smoother and idles a little better, felt real smooth until the 2/3 shift... I gave it a little gas and it started misfiring right like it did before. Got pissed off and turned around and parked it. No need to pound out a new set of $50 plugs.
