Def has a exhaust leak but also sound like a rod knock.Should be able to put it in gear and give it some gas under load and it should be very loud.Even revving it you should be able to tell if its down low.Also when you turn it off most rods will knock as they stop that have spun.

Just to clarify... rod, meaning valve push rod or rod, meaning piston connecting rod?

I think you were talking about push rods, but I was getting muddled in the conversation.
I wouldn't want to assume...

Thanks.

Hard to tell from video. Could be a bearing, did oil pressure fall off? Could be in the valve train. First thing is to find out if the noise is high or low. Almost sounds like collapsed lifter I had a few years back.
@Snowbound.
You almost nailed it. The truck has a stuck lifter and it messed up the push rod

From what can tell the stuck lifter did not open the valves and too much fuel was been traped in the cylinder causing the head turn black

After I got it out, I removed the drivers head and found some of the lifter shattered pieces. Next weekend I'm going to remove the oil pan & tray to see if I can find the remaining pieces.

After a close examination of the cam thru the lifter hole, I could see the damage done to the cam. The damage keeps getting worst. I'm starting to think the builder (Velocity parts & performance) used the wrong springs and created float on the lifters during high revs.
