At first I thought it came through the electronics, but turning the radio off the whine continues. I also had someone stand outside as I drove by and they heard the whine from outside.

with the nnbs they put in a "battery management system" so the volt meter walks all over the place now, you can disable it but I just figure I will go by the historical data and replace the battery's at 3 yrs like usual.
How do you disable it? It drives me nuts personally.
if you look on your battery ground cable there is a black clamp type sensor connected to it part way down the cable, just unplug that connector. How do you disable it? It drives me nuts personally.
Unplug the harness.

for the most part it will, I gave up and plugged mine back in I figured I will let it do it's job I have two batteries so I should be good to go. I was used to my voltage being stagnant for the most part and oil pressure, now there both all over the place, at least the temp stays solidReally? Just as simple as that? LOL! I won't hurt anything right? Just he alternator will act normal instead of goofy?

Thanks to both of you for the info. I would let it go but I get annoyed with a struggling power window at the drive thru because I am showing 10 volts. And my HVAC display gets dim as hell too. I'll give it a try and see what happens.
