Yes I believe your looking for 5v change max at wot, a lot of people have had this problem, including myself, your going to have to check the sensor on the pedal the sensor on the throttle body and the tac module that should be on the driver side firewall and any and all wiring, some have found it to be just a broken wire, I think the yellow on the throttle body harness near the connector, sometimes it gets brittle. Ok guys just trying to get some insight on the issue.

Replaced TPS replaced TPS Harness replaced the Pedal Sensor and still the problem is there. All old sensors works as good as new ones.


Is there a TAC module somewhere that may need replacing?

Yes, earlier post I said it should be on the driver side firewall, what about the pedal to tac harness? And did you clean/check those grounds?

Yes sir I did and the TAC harness looks decent not cracked or weathered.

The TAC module apparently had a cracked down the middle that might have caused water to sweep thru and fry it. The connectors do have a burned smell to them.


The BIG question is does the TAC module part number matter at all?

Mine is TMD1-160A1 04 Yukon XL Denali. I found one from a 05 Escalade XL that is TMD1-160E1?

Not sure on the part number, I would guess at no, got mine out of a bone yard and didn't notice any change, but it came out of another Yukon just an xl like yours mine was the shorty, you could call the stealer with that technical question.

The connectors on the wires looked okay but the actual connections on the TAC module smell burnt. I want to break it apart and see if theres any burned circuit boards or water in it.

Try the tac from the escalade first before you destroy stuff. They worst it can do is not work. Then if it does go ahead and dismantle your original tac. Did you ask a GM stealer about the part numbers?

Apparently the stealership said the truck does not have not TAC module. Very bad attitude like they know everything. Anyhow found one of a 04 yukon same part number and barcode number. But waiting on splicing the connector harness as well. I opened up the OE TAC module but nothing looks burned or black just a burt smell?

No tac? Are they high? It's on the firewall driver's side right? Why splicing wires?

Oh it has one but the dealer said no yukon tahoe etc have them.

One of the connector plugs is broken on the clips that hold it in so there going to splice the connector and use the connectors that I cut with the box from the boneyard.
