04 yukon trans questions

Bumping for a real update. I dropped the trans off finally after it sitting under the truck for months ready to. Trans guy said the planetarys were destroyed so all that got replaced along with new clutches and all that. Stock rebuild because I decided not to do anything crazy with it. I should be picking it up Friday. Which means I should install it this weekend if I don't distracted. Lol. Anyways. Mine has the auxiliary trans cooler. Would anyone recommend me upgrading to a tru cool or just use what I have and blow the piss out if the lines with the air compressor

Never just blow lines out with just air. You use a solvent! You dont want tranny guts from the destruction going through your nrebuilt tranny and new torque converter!

I'm pulling the lines and radiator out to run barsol (think that's how it's spelled lol) through at work.

I went with a try cook 40k unit for my 2006 and it was the best money spent! I hated seeing temps up near 200 degrees. Now I rarely ever see temps above like 150 unless I’m sitting in really heavy stop n go traffic. The try. lol is an excellent choice!

Need to invest in a guage for it. I personally never drove the yukon. I bought it with the trans messed up.

You could pick up for a gm 7 gauge cluster. Like a Denali or esky cluster. My Denali cluster has the trans temp and I’m glad I have it.

Plug and play is a 50/50 shot for an 04, but you could get it programed if you had to. Chances are you'd need to correct mileage anyways.

So the cluster itself would need to be programmed? If anything, I thought it would need to be done through the pcm, or maybe the bcm? Just a thought....
