Went from heater core, "in dash", to engine with no details how that could even get cross uped? The engine has gobs of sources for water leaks that could be pin pointed with a little effort and research. The water pump leak becomes more significant when driving because driving builds heat and heat builds pressure and coolant is pushed out faster...etc. So many times someone says head gaskets went but typically that is caused by overheating from coolant loss caused by another component.

Or some numbskull ends up with a stuck closed thermostat and continues to drive while the temp needle is ******* to the right (red) and overheats the engine which warps the heads, blows head gasket(s) and if the block is an aluminum version then its deck gets warped too.

And in this version, the head gaskets get done and then the restart shows the engine heat still climbing because the owner is trying to save $10. Idiotic at best.
