Interested to see this underglow. You've got the handle on the cool lighting mods. Like the blue. I switched to blue LEDs interior just for something different to match the Dark Ming Blue Metallic paint.

Old school low riders....still remember this guy had a Datsun painted orange, booming system, nearly scraping the bumps everywhere he was so low and bouncing all over the place with limo tinted windows...if I could only remember what name he had airbrushed on the rear window.

Looked very similar to this one, but only a single cab. I think he even had the chrome louvered visor. Thanks for the memory.

Never had underglow on any my vehicles, always wanted one. But it never makes it on my list of mods lol. Yea some call it rice from the fast and furious movies. But underglow is originally from the older lowrider and mini truckin days years before f&f. Those are the years I was grew up in.
So for now till I get a real kit I'll have this, not finished yet but it's the idea I'm going for. Later I'll buy a legit kit with multi color function with a more uniformed glow look. Yea I know kits are cheap but at $12 for 10 of these eagle eyes that's not bad for a diy homemade led kit. 2 or 4 on each side and 2 in front and 2 in rear.

As you can tell they're spot projectors style leds. So I'm trying to figure out a bracket to angle them and create a flood light that glows on the ground. But this gives an idea and visual, some of you might like this look too, I've thought about it, especially in white. But look how bright these bitches are even in the light

I've been in love with mini trucks and lowriders since I was a baby lol. Funny thing is I didn't grow up around them. Alaska wasn't and still isn't the type if place to have anything low. I just remember getting minitruckin and truckin mags in the mail and seeing these badass looking slammed trucks and falling in love with them. I was always modifying my hot wheels to lay frame , or model cars and trucks made to slammed.

I go with blue because we'll it is the coolest color for accessory lights , but also my tahoe being blue too. Green , yellow , or red , exc wouldn't really match. White would be nice but boring.

What did you use to split open you door light housings? I want to open mine up but not trying to break it.

All but one fell apart when I tried to pop them out to put leds in them when I first got the truck. The glue was so brittle. But if yours are still holding strong I would heat them up with a heat gun and carefully pry them with a flat head. Cut along the edges with a razor knife to cut some.of the glue

Used these L brackets from home depot for mounts x8. Don't have to be pretty as they are hidden under the body. Already had wire and connectors. Bolts were 0.50€ a piece x8.

Drilled out

Wire it up, how you want. Make sure it's not hanging so it doesn't catch on anything like twigs, rocks, snow, cats, clowns, exc....


Can loosen and tighten and angle these straight down or up or at an angle like I did. You can also bolt them up to the rocker panel where holes are already existing for steps. But I wanted these tucked up higher







Taking care of that rust while I'm down here. Primer then spray can bed liner.

Anyway I'm at about $20 for everything.

Since I put them up high above the rocker panel gives it a nice cutoff.








Way brighter than I expected or wanted but I'll roll with it. Later I might face them up to see how much glow I get. Was gonna do the front and back but I think this is more than enough glow for me lol
