After removing the 26" wheels from my Escalade, the braking is much, much better with the upgraded brakes.

For $200 or so, it's really a nice upgrade.

So here's my calipers painted up. Got a question tho before I start this swap tomorrow.

Am I ok to use DOT 3 brake fluid? The Wally has a gallon of DOT 3 for $16.00, & the DOT 3/4 shit is $15.00 a quart. So I got the gallon. a228da96a2050c52d27bf1926b9f0ee7.jpg162943bccfb0ab073c6b014d54106e12.jpg

These are the parts I used in my upgrade and I couldn't be happier with the performance and lack of noise. I know there are more aggressive pads/rotors but this works for me:
Calipers:
Drivers side: ACDelco 18FR2247
Passenger side: ACDelco 18FR2246
Pads: ACDelco 17D1363CH
Rotors: ACDelco Specialty Performance 18A1705SD

Thanks for posting these part numbers. The rotors are exactly what I've been looking for. I wanted something that was slotted, but didn't want to have the rotors also drilled since I will be primarily using my Yukon to tow a travel trailer.

The main question I have is that the ACDelco 17D1363CH pads keep getting flagged on Amazon and other part stores as not being compatible with the 2007+ front brake setup while the calipers and rotors do. I just want to confirm that those are the pads that you used and are working for you. I'd also be interested in hearing if you are still happy with the setup.

EDIT / UPDATE: Strangely, if change the vehicle information from 2007 to 2008 all three items, including the pads show as compatible. I guess it is a database issue that they all commonly pull from for fitment.

Good evening Thomas, yup that's the set I bought, I just checked my Amazon history. They are and have been working very well for me. Just a little dusting but never a squeal. I would buy them again. Hope this helps....
