Recently getting the Service Airbag on my display, tried clearing with my scanner, must not gave the full scanner software.

Is there any sticky on this site that explains the scanner functions or sub-systems on these GMC Yukon's?

I would prefer to get a scanner that I can use for ALL the systems on mine, not have to take it to someone to get the error code read.

I second this question. My code reader do not show airbag faults. I don't want to take it to the stealership.

Tech 2 or MDI/MDI2 will do what you need, but they are so much more than code readers and are not cheap.

I don't have any experience with any others. Sorry.

Thanks for the reply. I found one up on eBay, brand name Foxwell. Price isn;t too bad, $109 shipped. Says it does ABS and Airbags.

So what I am really looking for is to determine what sub-systems that my '07 Yukon Denali has, so I don't buy another code reader to clear the airbag issue and then have another code with another system that I need another one for.

My wife has the '04 Avalanche and one scanner does it all, so I want to put an end to this with my Yukon, so what sub-systems do I need a separate code reader for?

OK, pulled the trigger on the Foxwell on eBay, got it for $103 shipped. I want to get my airbag cleared or fixed, whichever it needs.

I'll let you know how it works, still would like to know if their are any other sub-systems than the Airbag, ABS, ???

I have a uscan, it does a lot more than read cel codes. It will do airbags, drivetrain, and more. Found it on eBay for $27. The downside is each different parameter cost money per vehicle.

Can you please post what model scanner you used from Foxwell? I've got an SRS error on my 2007 Denali and I'd like to buy a scanner to read the SRS code. Thanks!

I just got that error across my DIC today. Any further info? I know GM had that recall but no inventory. MB has already started their recalls.

I have been having the same issue on my 07 Tahoe, The problem is a loose connection in a wiring harness under the back of the drivers seat or at least mine was. If you jiggle the harness the light will come on and off.
