07 LTZ minimum wheel size?

Thinking lowering my 4x4 truck and have had an air bagged 4x4 Yukon

What's wrong with that? I'm a lowered 4x4

Yes it is lowered. You will need to trim the ball joints like I did.

I just allways figured Lowering was reserved for 2wd, but in hindsight 4x4 would give hella hard launches for speed application.

Yes it is lowered. You will need to trim the ball joints like I did.

With the factory 20" rim there is presently less than 1" clearance. If I grind the lower ball joint threads off up to the castle nut there will be exactly 1 inch clearance. So that would be very close with an 18" rim? I would need to cut another 1/4 inch off the castle nut and slot the nut and redrill for cotter pin to make a 17" work? Is that How much you trimmed yours?

Mee too ! Thats my bagged 81 Delta 88 frame dragger. Got my titanium blocks pretty much rubbed right off

This is how much i trimmed to clear 17. This is oem ball joints
I never had any problems with nuts backing off or anything like that. I used locktite and staked the threads

When its lowered the. PO might have cut the ball joint bolts if he got drop spindles. If you cut them you can use 17" wheels, if not, they won't fit as mentioned above. As also mentioned above Denali is full time all wheel drive and definately needs lowering IMO, I'm transplanted in Virginia but from California so everything gets lowered. Even my vette though wife isn't crazy about lowering the vette she loves the Denali since it rides better and is easier to get in to
