I have a 2003 GMC Yukon and i am putting a 7" mcgaughy's suspension lift on it with a performance accessories 3" body lift. I am planning on stuffing 40" Nitto Mud Grapplers under it. Does anyone have any experience putting 40" tires on this vehicle or a similar one?

I hope you plan on going solid front axles and upgrading to a 14 bolt. Unfortunately our trucks ifs isn't great for such big tires and lift. 37s is pushing it Imo. I would definitely research upgrading components to support that lift.
My experience with the OBS 2dr I kept braking things, tie rods, axles, ball joints even arms. I had 37s with a 8in. Then I did a 14bolt rear swap and solid axle in front. No more breaking things. I eventually dumped another 5k for Rockwell military axles front a rear. Was an awesome rig. But family grew and need a bigger suv. Good luck

where can i find some info on doing the solid axle swap in the front? I would love to do it and have been thinking about it for a while now. Is upgrading to a solid axle off of a 2500hd sierra an option? Or pulling one of of the 2500 yukon/tahoe if i can find one? that would make it a lot easier to do it that way. I was planning on doing a 6.6 swap in the first place and if i have to swap axle's anyway then i might just do it.

Neither of those came with a solid axle.

That's right Yates hence why they're called swaps.

King, unfortunately I am on my phone and the search function doesn't work well. But on pc you should be able to search it.

10-12" you want 42-44s
solid axle would be best if you want functionality.

Good luck and hope your axles don't snap like toothpicks! Why such large tires?
