I lowered mine because I couldnt find a 2wd model. I like performance and would much rather have a truck that handles corners than a big lifted tank, been there, done that 20 years ago... Everyone has their own opinion on what they like and dont like. I cant stand "poser" lifted Duramax's with 38's or 40" Super Swampers that have probably never even seen a dirt road, let alone an actual mud hole or trail. At least I can drive my truck across the country without going insane. Have you ever taken a trip in a lifted "4x4" with Super Swampers? The drone and tire howl would make you put a gun to your head within 300 miles. Trust me, I know. Had an 82 GMC SWB with 38's, but Im not 19 anymore and my tastes in vehicles have changed drastically. :)

I agree. I have a lowered 4wd Tahoe and it works great on long trips with my family. It handles amazing in the corners during the summer and then in the winter I just throw on my studded tires and put it in 4wd and still out handles the other cars and trucks on the road. I take a lot of family vacations and drive through the high mountain passes and it feels a lot more stable in all the seasons. I never take it off road so this is the perfect setup for me. I did the 3/5.5 drop from Tony.

Ima running a 3/5.5 and run 385/50/20s for the winter. I live in colorado so we get alot I snow. I do have to plow threw snow but 4x4 still works fine. I've actually seen other stock hight 4x4s struggle more than me. I did how ever have to replace 1 of my cv axles and both upper ball joints but they were fairly old already to begin with

Why would you want to lower a 4x4... You still wanna use it as a 4x4 but lowering it is a joke IMO. Might have a hard time in 4wd crossing speed bumps lol

People put lift kits on trucks that are 2wd with big mudding tires and what is the point of that. I can easily take of the springs and put the stock ones back on and tighten the torsion keys. Have it back to normal height. The beauty is that i can sit as low as a 2wd and still put it in 4hi and get out of snow or mud. :) just saying

Alright everyone, we all do different things with our rides and we all love our rides. We love cars and trucks and that is all that matters. Who cares why any of us do anything to our cars. I hate to come down on a fellow wichita fallsan but I'm siding with the guy who wants to lower his 4x4. Personally, I would go with a 3/5 or lower drop for the simple fact that a 2/4 really doesn't look much different than stock in "my opinion". Also, both kits require the same amount of work and my 3/5ed burb is still perfectly driveable and comfortable on wichita falls' shit roads. Back to gzes, they might ask you "why put money into a del sol?" Nobody knocked you for what you do so stop the hate. Let's get along and appreciate that these rides are people's pride and joy. We all have different opinions and most of them are better kept to ourselves. Have a nice day.

And yes we have super ****** roads. I'd be scared to drive my pretty much tucking prelude on these streets. Gotta lift it up to stock or atleast higher then tucking...

Mine has about 4.5/5.5 and gets around great. One inch higher last year in 14 inches of snow pulling people out of my parking lot. Worried a little about my bumper cover this year.
