I wonder if your cylinders are filled with gas. If that was the case you could bend a pushrod.
Eeesh... Wouldn't I still have some type of engine crank at all?

reach down on the lower passenger side engine area and smack that starter with a hammer a couple times and try again to start it.

Sometimes when these trucks sit when they are normally driven everyday then yes fuel pump can get sticky, starter can get sticky. change in weather could have something to do with it.Okay I'll try. Have you ever heard of a type of problem like this after a vehicle sitting for 5 or 6 days like mine was? like I said, it crank once, and then absolutely nothing after that. Still have lights and power, just absolutely nothing as far as a crank-over goes. Can't even hear any sound whatsoever coming from the starter area either. Have you ever heard of a symptom like this?

at any rate it's something to try that wont cost you anything, starter would be my primary suspect if the truck was running perfectly fine when it was shut off last time. just my .02
Not always. Thanks I will try smacking the starter. One question though. IF IT WAS the starter, when I turn the key over and get nothing, wouldn't I still get some type of "sound or click" or something from the starter area? Basically when I turn the key all the way over, it has the same effect as if the battery was completely dead, only I still have lights and power.
maybe/maybe not, if the solenoid was stuck or has bad solder, etc it may not make any sound at all or it might just "click" it could go ether way, you can check it with a meter while someone turns the key.
**another possibility is if it is not in park all the way or the neutral safety switch went bad. you can try shifting it to neutral and try it that way also.
