Was just curious, what the reason is for this?
Would hate to have you go through the hassle of putting a used starter into your vehicle only to find that it’s seized up or something. Also, if you have a known good starter, it makes troubleshooting a little easier if it still doesn’t start after putting it in.

a cheap multi meter test will save you the hassle of pulling the starter only to discover that may not be the problem, you can get one at the autoparts store, walmart, etc for like $20
all you have to do is check for power to the solenoid when the key is turned to start, if there is no power to the solenoid then you know that is not the issue.
here is a video that explains it and it shows how you can test the one already on the truck

Hi all;

Haven't had a chance to put in the starter yet. Been running a lot of emergency loads delivering hospital beds and oxygen tanks to hospitals (I'm a truck driver), and I've been working close to 14-hour shifts doing it so I've been pretty much dead tired when I get home lol. Hopefully I can get a chance to do the testing on it, and hopefully put in the starter tomorrow. I will keep everyone posted. Thanks again for all the help so far I really appreciate it

here is another way you can do it right from the fuse box

Good morning all;

okay so I just did this exact test right now. Exactly how this man describes it in the video and shows. And nothing. So at this point, would it be safe to assume it is in fact the starter and go ahead and change it out?

I would say yes as long as you are sure the battery is charged
