Look at the dip stick for oil? Does it sound like this?
I'll wait til someone else chimes in. In my vid, which is my 05 Express work van with the 4.8. My oil pressure slowly went to 0, so I had the oil pump changed to a Melling HV oil pump. At 1st it didn't help, but over a course of 2-3 weeks it quieted down, and pressure is now around 60 psi warm, so I guess mine was because of the oil pump. Yours still has oil pressure tho. What is the pressure when it's running?Yes very similar

the only code it gives you is a p0300?
Is this a new starter or a used one?Yep. That's it.
Or maybe the flexplate might've cracked. Is this a new starter or a used one?
Almost sounds like your starter isn’t retracted all the way and the flex plate is hitting it. Get a stethoscope and see if you can find where the sound is coming from.
That’s possible as well. There is a used starter that just got installed and now there is a noise that wasn’t there beforehand. I would start there.Or maybe the flexplate might've cracked.
