2002-2006 Factory Remote Start

I was wondering if anyone had any info on the remote start system GM had available back in the day for (2002-2006?) full size pickups. I remember it was only for a short time and required pulling teeth from the dealer to get it.

It was more than likely a re-branded retail kit like AutoStart or something. If I remember correctly it was right around the time the rear wheel steering model trucks first came about. I think it was discontinued a short time later until the 2007 factory remote start began.

I bought a 2005 Yukon XL slt 6 months ago & had an already installed remote start ( & lock).. Made by CompuStar.
No clue if it was factory installed...
It works fine..... never use it, though....

Sorry to resurrect an older thread, but... Do you use the factory remotes to activate the remote start? I want to add one to my Wife's Tahoe and surprise her.

GM /LEAR 15042968
A quick search says there were two Fob models. The other is 15732803. That's all the searching I'm willing to do right now, my commercial is over..
