Yeah I was planning on saving a couple copies of the BB tune thst I download from the PCM, on a couple different computers. You know, just in case something happens to one.yea BBT doesnt lock the tunes i dont think. you would just plug in the hpt and "Read entire", save that as your base tune - dont ever modify it incase you mess something up you can revert back to it. so a save as - change file name (i name them by date and a what i changed - ie, "7-26-spark" or something like that)
dan brings up a good point with the special functions you may be able to cycle each solenoid individually - ive just never really had a need to mess with it. some of the functions are kind of clunky - seems to just be part of the software, ill notice trying to (for example) change idle spark running. i'll click to control it...pop it down a couple degrees 3,4 whatever nothing happens...i'll hit 5 and it drops 5 degrees all at once for whateverass reason.
Finding the correct tables to log and getting them set up seem to be something I can't wrap my mind around. When I get ready to log in a serious manor, I'll be asking some questions. Probably very simple, I'm just brain locked at that point. So I think lowering the Rolling idle activation point cured the stalling but, one trip home doesn't really mean **** in HPT time.
Ran the truck up to rev limiter and saw some KR up top, not overly concerned with it because I'm fairly certain it's flase but it is odd that the truck was pulling 30* at 6,400 rpm when all the spark tables should be commanding 23*.
Fueling is still a tad more off than I'd like to see especially after multiple changes. I might have an exhaust leak at one of the header collector V bands. Might also reactivate the long-term fuel trims and see how that goes.
It did the weird super lean thing when I started it and it hadn't been driven all day s oI think that throws out @randeez hot fuel theory. The problem is that although I have it on this log I lose most of the data because it gets averaged out in the histogram. I'm not sure what to look at besides those honestly. Here is a snapshot of when it was doing it, it seems to mostly do it at idle then as soon as I give it throttle it cleans up back to commanded stoich.
